Nobody wants to see real, reality because that would be boring. Imagine if a TV crew were following your auctions in your area. Nobody would watch it! They want the drama that guys like Big Steve brings to the NY show, or whatever form of sex appeal that the girls bring to any of the shows. You know how big of a sex symbol Brandi has become? It's huge how much sex sells TV shows.Then just state that the show is fake at the start , then they can do all the stupid crazy things they want and not insult the view audience

"The old vet who is just trying to make a good living" -- Ivy is there to show Darrell he can he replaced (although I think Ivy was originally meant to be the new Dave and fills some of both roles)
"The young couple trying to be the American Success Story (with wife with a great rack who makes fun of husband)" -- Am I talking about Brandi and Jarrod, or Rene and his wife???
"The comic relief" -- The twins as a sad low rent replacement for Barry.
"Man and Woman auctioneer team with the woman being sassy and having attitude" -- Which pair am I talking about?
"The agitator who is there for money and doesn't mind being the bad guy" -- This was Dave, and I think they wanted it to be Ivy, but Ivy just comes off a goofy and nice to much.
Show producers think in terms of formulas. They don't just want a hit show, they want a template they can make other shows from.

To me this doesnt belong in the show. Storage auction buyers and people who attend yard sales and flea makets sure arent the best looking people in the world. Maybe for these types of people who attend such things the girls are the hottest things they seen in a long time so I could see that as why they do this in the show

I dvr the show and first time ever for me i turned it off before seeing what joe p found in the jewlerly box and watched the rest in the morning. So to me the show sucks if iturned it off in the middle not caring what was next. Can someone telling what the appeal of this show is? Simple question

Just more desperation to make an already boring show look exciting. Reminds me of the old days of the WWF when they would do these interviews before the big match. Trickery at its finest . If this was real trust me the laywers on both side would have both partys be Silenced. People say they liked Barry on the show and all he was doing is making a mockery of those who by units for a living and as dumb as some people are they bought it. He is a reality tv star you dont think they all sit back and laugh at those who really do this for a living? You watch the show get the ratings up and those you star in the show want there share of the money the network makes. Buying storage units is the least of there worrys.
