I was under the impression Paypal should be sending out automated emails upon us as sellers processing labels it used to automatically generate an email to the customer saying your item shipped here is your tracking. I'm always bombarded with requests for did my package ship or tracking. It's hard to tell whether people don't get these, whether they go in spam, or whetehr people just don't check the email associated with their paypal account. Not sure if Paypal isn't sending these or my custoemrs just dont check. Was curious if all your customers get these automated emails with tracking info.

i work a fulltime job so for me pretty much orders that come in after ive left for work dont go out til the following mornign.  i pretty much get orders comming in 24 hours a day so i do get a lot of people who ordre from say like 3am to 9am as im leaving for work and if im sitting there packing there's probably a few buyers a day who make a purchase at like 8:45 I pack their thing within 5 or 10 minutes and its at the post office 15 minutes later. just the luck of the draw with me if you happen to order right before a fedex pickup or post office run

id recommend using the full 12 pictures or whatever is the max. yeah i agree its probably not necessary and even if the pics are repetitive more pics equals better performance in best match searches

I agree with you. For the person casually printing a few labels the lag times of a few seconds probably aren't a big deal but when you do a lot of business and can spend an hour or two a night printing labels that few seconds it takes from printing a packing slip to transition back to the main page to print the label really adds of and keeps you from doing things quickly. I know there's services like inkfrog where you can print all your days orders with the click of a button however I don't really trust it as there are glitches and sometimes it wont print or prints a priority weighted package instead of a priority flat rate like its set for. If there's even the slightest mistake its a nightmare trying to go back in and figure out what did print and what didnt so I stick to the old way of going item by item, takes longer but i know things will get done right.

This is my main headache but i agree the site overall loads pages slow and works slowly. I dont fault them for pulling reports. It used to be terrible, now when I pull bigger reports at least they changed it so intstead of letting my computer clock for an hour and then fail at pulling a report it will say this is a big report we'll email it to you when its done and then you get the report emailed in excel doc instead of waiting and it failing like it used to.

Cn't fault them too much. Think about how many accounts people have with them and then think of how many transactions each of those accounts have. They have to implement security and encryption in because of the finanical and person info involved sothose things slow up website performance as well.

I agree though I have always found the site to be slow

yeah i fell into my current business strictly by accident. like you said its great having storage auctions great way to get merch, variety of stuff, good margins.

the problem however is b/c you never have a consistant item buyers dont really have a reason to come back. the guy who buys the xbox you sold today is not going to be interested in the thomas the train toys or baby clothes you have for sale tomorrow so you dont get repeat buyers which are the best. its easier to keep a client than get a new one and also once you have a rapport with someone they dont bother you about stupid questions or being a day late on shipping so easieer to deal with.

for example if you sell gun accessories not only do you get repeat buyers but the guy who buys your speedloader will probably also be interested in a holster and a flashlight however when your selling random stuff your rarely going to get someoen buying multiple items

i know some people are super hesitant to give out their phone number, i think its kinda silly but if you have that problem use a call text app or the burner app. talking on the phone your going to get more serious buyers. it takes 2 seconds to shoot someone a lowball offer or say ill come see it at 5 talking to soemone people feel worse about blowing you off as its a more personal correspondence.

also i have people meet me at a school 3 blocks from my house. i dont show up at the time we agree i tell them to call me when they get there. if they never show up who cares i didnt waste any of my time

ebays buyer protection essentially is a return policy. really only difference is if you dont offer returns someone cant return "cuz i dont want it anymore" aside from that buyer protection allows them to get a return anyway and most people will claim something is wrong with the item even if something isn't just to get their return so my take is why not just offer it, charge them a 20% restocking fee and even if someone does return its still a win win for me i make 20% and can resell to another buyer make another 10% on the sale and I made 30% on something I normally would have made 10% oon

maybe someone else who sells off ebay and uses paypal can chime in but im 1000% confident seller protection is offered outside of ebay. thats the main point
