Well, AntiqueGuy is the leader now at $860...get back in there BWD !

AG's bid was $860 at 6:00 PM Pacific time on 3/20/2013.
my gf did the bidding and she stopped at 850 so I bumped it up to 950. Watch the last few minutes of the ending of the auction and bet it sells close to 1500 or more.

Strange, the bid page shows that BWD is still the high bidder at $680. Jump in at $690 and see what happens.
Actually jump the bid 250 and see what happens

There seems to be a common theme with these online auctions. 1 week before the auction ends, they're bid up to about what they would sell for at a live auction. 1 day before the auctions ends they get some more activity. Then the last hour...really the last minute, the crazy bids come in.

If online storage auctions get more popular...and they will, it's just a matter of time before someone writes some sniping program.
Thats why I know I can jack the bid up on this unit and someone will over pay and out bid me at the last sec of auction ending.

Are you basing this on looks alone or do you have something else to back up your claim?
She is a dog

Have to say the show is boring. Can someone tell me where is the entertainment part of the show is, Its the same old same old stuff the novelty of the show has worn off.

Maybe people are using online storage unit auctions to launder money and thats way they go so high?
It  seems like something is up! Why would people want to bid so high on a online auction compared to live auction? Is it due to credit cards can be used to buy units? Whatever it is I always have a great time running the bid up cause I know I will be outbid.

Bet it sells for 2,000. These online auction go for way over what they go for live

But you know all the stuff has been picked through thou. I dont ever buy non-lien  units. And that photo that you posted is in Utah, thought that looked familier. Im going to jack the price up on this unit just hope I dont get stuck with it. Bet it sells for 1600.00 after I bid 1450.00 for it .

Ive made great money on mine as well. What I meant is online auctions sells for 3xtimes what a live auction sells for. My friend is a manager of a storage facility and they stated using online again just because it was a given they would always recoup what was owed. So yes I know what the best units to bid on at his facility.

Unless if ebay did A spin off site just for storage auctions with different rules then there main site. Yes I think this could work if done in local citys . Great Idea and ebay should look into this.

I bought a few when they first came out and I did very well. After that the prices go through the roof! Why pay 10% findes fee. Plus you cant see whats really in there. I say let the newebies use online auctions since they love to over bid!

Lesa Lewis just left the following comment on my other site explaining what happened happened to her and Jerry.

Thanks for defending me. Apologies for using all of you, my dear and loyal fans
The truth? I don’t even come close to a 2.5M net … So I demanded a raise, which I didn’t get. So … we’ve quit

Because of all your ranting, we’re hired again. See you in a couple of weeks and all of next season. And yes … we’re getting paid way more than our original demand. Thanks to all of you! xxx L.

Atleast they are getting paid big bucks.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: The cost to bid
« on: March 01, 2013, 10:01:04 AM »
It might just be me in a bad mood and/or after driving 50 miles to go to two auctions.  I don't mind the driving, because that is just because where we live. But, but when you get there there is over 100 people that showed up.  Well after the bidding started a trash unit went for $240.  I had just enought time to make it to the other place and sign.  They wanted my name and phone number, well that's normal.  Then they a copy of my drivers  license, i didn't like that to much, but ok.  Next, they wanted $50 deposit just to bid.  Somewhere in my little mind, I said the heck with it and just went home.  If i have to give a $50 deposit just to bid, forget it.
Welcome to the game !!!
