jrossjr79: Texas in general is a big push for us right now, mostly because of the demand and the huge physical size of the territory.

We actually just secured a new self storage business that has 6 locations in Texas - Austin, Allen, Forney, Grand Prairie, Murphy and Terrell (we will announce who the self storage company is on Facebook once the ink dries).

We don't have reps placed in Texas yet, but that is in the process. From what I'm told, the plan is to get sales personnel out in the field targeting Dallas, Houston and San Antonio in an attempt to get a triangle-effect of coverage going.

thats good to hear, lol, mmm, tell you what put me on your sales rep team, I will get you some facilities here in San Antonio and surrounding areas. :)

My goodness they are milking this. Anyone see dave jester make a fool of himself with the fake strataveris violin lol

Will be watching later tonight, lol, I cant believe he is going to stoop that low, saying a violin of any kind is worth a mill. Unless its dipped in gold, laced with diamonds and is from the 12th century, lol. But what are those odds. Damn Dave a dumbass.

OMG, Dave Hester needs to STFU!

Watching the new storage wars because I am bored.  He just showed a violin and is throwing the M word out there.  Shut up, it's a broken violin that is worth junk.  No violin in the world is worth the M word.

lol, what, guess I am going to have teh fire up the DVR and watch this episode tonight.

mmm, tricky to me.

See lots of items that can sell quickly if you have the right channels. But not for very much money.

The Back of the Grandfather clock really sticks out for me. But it does not look very old, then again I may be wrong, but I can see its not complete. If all the pieces are in there and it is an older piece, I can see this unit going up quickly. I see what looks to be a vintage curio, cant really tell if I am looking through glass, or if its just a wooden shelf made recently.
Now if this pinball machine really is in there, wooo, at a regular auction I wouldnt be surprised if it goes over $1,500. However I would stop at $850. If this is a silent bid, lol, good luck, cause everybody will be thinking of two things.

1. I want to get it as cheap as I can, so they make really low ball offers.
2. Others will see the value, and over compensate, and throw outrageous bids on it.

I can somewaht understand doors, if in construction or remodeling their house, mattresses, mmmkay, your poor or for what ever other reason dont take the time to get a new mattress, so you store your old nasty one. What I do not understand, IS WHY THE HELL STORE YOUR TRASH IN THE LOCKER, and WE ALL SEE THIS,

Clubs look like some I just recently sold, (Vintage) Sadly not for what I really wanted it for them, and I sat on them for a good while as well. Unit looks good.

On the first one, I wouldnt bid no more than $100, and that from what I see is mostly a gamble. Only thing I see of value is the table, and that is if I am assuming correctly that it is antique. Second that, I also see a chair or a stool, so I give it an extra $50. So $150 for the unit. Mattresses used dont sell well in my area, couch looks beat up, and all the boxes look as if they have been searched through. I get suspicious when I see boxes like that.

Second unit, I may go $175, primarliy just because of that bow, there is alot of hunters that I am sure I can unload it quickly for $250 - $300. But then again, not sure on the quality of it since its a small picture. Some of those boxes look sealed still, so something may be good in there.

Gotta take a chance at times, right Movieman?  You have a deal.  Shoot me a PM when you get back, and I'll have the money to you tomorrow morning via paypal, as I have the money clearing the bank tonight.  Let me know how much shipping and handling will be.
I'll even keep you advised of my luck with the Beanie Babies if you like.

Hell keep us all advised :)

Because it says right on it Rental unit. Probably rented from Safeway then not returned.

Ahh gotcha, didnt mention that before :)..

Personally though, I would contact them, and see if they are going to give you anything in return for it, if not Id sell it to someone else. May be morally wrong, not sure on the legalities on it. But that is what I would do.

Like they do on loans, etc to pay for a unit up to a year so you wont loose in an auction. (auction preventaive insurance)if you loose your jobs or what not. I will look for the article. Guess since auction buying is ever so popular now-a-days the insurance companies want a piece of the pie. Maybe as an incentive the storage companys will offer 6-1 year of the insurance to get future tenants business.

damn taht could mean a lot less units available, and with everyone knowing about it now, wow. Rat race to a storage auction. Please do post that article or a link to it when you find it.

On that rug doctor, what makes you think it was stolen? It is a commercial piece of equipment, but on the lower end. The tenant may even had a cleaning business. My father in-law use to own one when the family was cleaning commercial buildings.

Best I have been to was me and 2 other ladies. 4 Lockers up for grabs.

1st unit: $55  5x5( I bought it)
2nd Unit: $50 10x5(I bought it)
3rd unit: 10x5(was not sold, although I wished I put up the $5 after what the manager told me about the tenant two days later, sadly it was already to late :()
4th Unit: $75 10x10 (one of the ladies and I were bidding it up, I let her have it because it was upstairs, no elevator, tight steep stairs). Ran across her two weeks later and asked her about the locker, she said 85% of it went to the dump, she didnt say nothing more about it, and I didnt ask.
