They still have the silver value......

Collectors item?   Yeah, not so much.   Very few of us remember when the Imperial Palace was "the" casino.  To most its the $29.99/night sun-thu hotel.

Yep. Sitting in a drawer along with ash trays a various other "acquired" Vegas memento's.
Perhaps someday it will be worth something more than memories.....or rather proof I was there....I don't really remember much from my Vegas trips.  I mean, I have a picture of myself in a club with a tiger.  Like a real, live tiger.   You'd think that's something I'd remember doing, huh?   ::)

Good for you.  But in the future keep the drugs.  You may need them to keep yourself sane in this biz!  ;D

What do you rinse the tank with...fresh gas?

Yeah.
Not so much of a problem in lawn mowers since they have plastic tanks but gas will still "gel up".
Plus water, dirt, impurities......

Just pop line off. Usually just a clamp you press together with pliers.
Drain.  Put your finger over hole and put a bit of gas in, swish and drain.

Might want to look at filter too.

Mine wouldn't start this spring because it was run dry last use.  Filter hardened up, all crusty with gunk.
I just put rubbing alcohol in a few times and cleaned it out. Not very professional but worked for a really old, not maintained POS mower I didnt want to spend money on.....

FYI - Craftsman has owners manuals online.  Should have all the basic maintenance and trouble shooting guides in it.
If not, you can go to sears website customer support and they will send you a PDF.

Drain gas and rinse tank.
Check oil.
Pull spark plug and at least clean it up.

That should be enough that you don't damage anything testing it out.   After you see it works, find problems,whatever....you can do a full tune up.

Might want to do a fast check of all belts and pully's.  Spray one WD-40 around.  Just generally clean and lube before you try and start it.

Going from the picture I totally understand how some of that was "forgotten" about.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've emptied my pockets at the end of the day and was like "ohhh...that's where my grenade was!   HONEY?  I found it.  It was in my wind breaker!"

Seriously though, I think the most I've forgotten I had was once I was catching a red eye out of Memphis.  I had been flying or in airports for 20hrs, been up for 36hrs straight  and had bought a yogurt and forgot it was in my carry-on.  Though from the reaction of screeners you'd have thought it was something in that picture!

Another time they took my little Swiss Army knife.  The kind that goes on key chain and legal to take thru.
Which was funny that THAT was a possible threat but then on the plane I was served dinner with a real steak knife!   Guess they figure terrrist don't fly first class?

Reason behind the departure?   You seemed to have been doing okay.

Now with the shows getting a bad rap and hearing so many are getting out.....Mayes time I hit a few more auctions.  See what it is like out there.  I've only been going to the few close to my house.

Without at least a few months rent/expenses I'd be less inclined to do it.
Especially since first month of any business is usually a loss.   Figure a week or two to set up and get people to notice there is something new....expense of moving in....

Another red flag is the owners excitement.   Could be no one wants to rent there.  Why?

Your looking at a building that really only has two tenants.  The rest is owner.  Those two are "so-so"?

I'd have to get some money together first to cover several months at minimum.  Probably incorporate or LLC it so if things turned out bad he can't go after my assets....

Is he willing to do month-to-month?  Do you have enough high end items to fit demographics of neighborhood?  Able to staff it 12-14 hrs a dy, 7 dys. Week?   Is there other areas in your life you can cut out to cover rent (give up cable, storage unit, sell a car)?   Do you have capital to bid more units as you sell?

Would be cool to do but don't rush in.   Business plans take time.....

Car fox kinda sucks.

They reported my Cougar was fine when in actuality it was totaled, two engine's and an unresolved electrical issue.  None of my service records showed either.....

Okay.   Thanks for the second post.

I was thinking you might be an idiot paying to get year of vehicle from VIN when the year is in the VIN......

But unless its a GM I always had to look it up on my secrete decoder ring too.

App that you take a picture of the vin and it gives you he history and blue book of car.  Unfortunatly I canceled it so I can't help you out and run it for you.

eBay / Re: Appropriate amount of time

Ditto to this. The seller probably only ships stuff out once a week.

Must be it since tracking was set on Tuesday morning but now shows it was accepted yesterday afternoon.

Must have printed label but ships everything Friday afternoons.

Yeah, his is in the numbers.  Bids on stuff everyday.  But like I said, he has money.  If I bid on a 100 auctions and all top bids set at $100 and somehow won them ALL.....I'd be screwed.

It's never happened that bad but he has had weeks where he's won several thousand in auctions.

But unlike storage auctions he knows he can sell it all for more than he paid.

Just got a Nikon for $125 and sold it for $600 the day it arrived.
