Stories about Storage Auctions / Re: Well, son of a.......!

It appears I already have a stalker.....  ;D

Yep, North West.   Nearest city everyone would know is Seattle.

Where I'm at, if there is a "slight chance" of snow in Seattle...we get a foot. But only in my driveway.

No stalker, lol.

Just had a really really warm winter so far here in Michigan. No snow to speak of so far and probably none will stick for at least the next week and a half. Swear it's 3 days of 40 degrees, 2 days of 25 degrees, then 4 days of 40 degrees again. Never seen this before in Michigan.  Worst part is the weather is keeping auction numbers high and bids just as high. I'd kill for an auction day of snow to see what auction numbers do.

Craigslist / Re: Selling rims/tires <advice needed>
« on: January 17, 2012, 11:26:17 AM »
This is one of the few times I say sit on your product. Rim and tire markets tend to pick up in the spring as people are getting antsy to pull vehicles out from winter storage.

Anyone looking to buy from you right now is just going to sit on an item they offer 300 on now and turn around in spring and charge wholesale.

If I were you I would add in the Craigslist add your 1k firm, don't even bother low-balling you and if you bring less then a G at buy your wasting your time and gas money.  Get it through there heads that FIRM means FIRM.

Where the hell are you that you have snow?

I just made my year end cleanout dump run. 3320 lbs of furniture to the dump. Don't see that on the TV shows!

Begin sarcasm
because according to people on the shows those are hundred dollars here $20 there they can make money on everything. Hell I'm sure good ole Dave could sell you a piece of $hit and call it artwork, because he's the mogul and he knows more then you about everything.
End sarcasm

Storage Auctions "In The News" / Re: New Show Coming Real Deal on History

Also this just in, water is wet! Anyone have the numbers on the show? I mean it's so boring. When real deal comes on I get a real hankering to change the channel.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: ST site
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:41:41 AM »

That's cause all those people involved with the show are also involved with the site!

Exactly! I knew that, that's why I said that. it just gets old when they jam it down your throat on a website. it's one thing to produce the shows for entertainment value it's another to potentially mislead people to bidding on unit when all the producers say there is good stuff there and great stuff that and never about crap units.

LOL at storage treasures.

They have nothing to offer, at least in my area. the only thing they offer is The biggest auctions run by the biggest auctioneer. IMO, horrible site layout, to much clicking, and not enough activity from the members.

I view storage treasures is just an extension of the lazy man's way of finding auctions.

We have been waiting for over 6 months. Sure others longer.

Less advertised better, but they are finding them too.

It's do-able.  I have only been doing this now 7 months, but the one Spot I have is a life savior to me.

That Brookside site is highly developed...it even tells you what periodicals their legal notices are in...though why you would need that if you are reading their auction tab is beyond me since it tells you the lkr numbers and names already anyway.

For as developed as that site is, It only gets maybe 5 regulars and 1 looker a month.  The only advantage being it's in OFE Metro Detroit outskirts.  Bids do seem normal for auctions though.

......take care of this 1950 penny, it brought me good luck last year.  After reading this, he started digging frantically through more boxes looking for a rare lost coin collection to go with his 1950 wheat penny, but all that he found was.....
