eBay / Re: Have you ever been dinged by negative feedback?
« on: January 13, 2013, 10:06:40 AM »
travis, thats awesome you were able to get feedback reversed. not sure if they changed their policies but now days no matter how ridiculous the feedback no matter how wrong the buyer really is  ebay now says the only reasons they will reverse feedback is if someone calls out someone by name or address, vulgar language, or links. toehr than that ebay can agree you as the seler are right but feedback will stick.

it hurts you if your a power seller or top rated seller. as far as hurting business you would think if someone has 1000 good and 1 bad people would realize its a one off and an unreasonable buyer however it still doesnt help you

What's it Worth?? / Re: Valuing Precious Metals
« on: January 08, 2013, 04:43:50 PM »
the key is to sell to the end user ie someone buying silver/gold, etc on craigslist. normallywhen someone buys gold or silver they pay a % over spot price when someone sells they get paid a % below spot. if you sell to the end user y ou can sell at spot rate and they save money and you sve money cutting out the coin shop, jewelry store or we buy gold store or whoever else would be the middleman.

you probably dont even need to go to craigslist. i have several buddies who buy silver with every spare dollar they have so anytime i come across silver i call them and we do a sale at spot price sometimes ill even get a bit more than its worth

I did a little home work on this and you're absolutely right. The content is what really counts in plagiarism cases.

Since I haven't read his book, I wouldn't know if any of the content was taken from my book. I guess all I would have to do is look for paragraphs that had correct punctuation, spelling and grammar. :D

I dont know the anaswer to your questiona bout whether he can come up with a book with a similar title to yours but something interseting, anyone who writes a book about anything "for dummies" winds up getting sued by the people who put out the "for dummies" series. even if you are writing about a topic they havn't covered they have "for dummies" trademarked. Im a member of some webmaster and affiliate marketing forums and hear about this happening all the time.

as for similar content there's programs you can load your content into and it will tell you if someone else is using your content, thats if its on the internet so wont necessarily work on something written in print if its not on the net.

prety much everything on the interenet is copied though. many bloggers and writers use article spinning software that basically will take an article change words and whamo there's a new article

i also had a unit with a bunch of copy machines but also a bunch of those receipt printers that restaurants use. even though tehre were a ton on ebay for like $100+ buy it now so not necessarily selling i coudlnt sell them on ebay couldn't sell them to restaurants, no luck

New to Storage Auctions? / Re: Clothes with Security tags
« on: January 08, 2013, 04:21:56 PM »
you can buy the tag removers on the net like others have said but that probably cuts into most if not all of your profit unless you deal in clothes in which case it may be nice having one of those around. if you have any buddies who work in retail see if they can remove it for you although there's so many diff types of things i doubt the store they happen to work at happens to use the same device on your tag

Other Forms of Selling / Re: Wondering if anyone sells on Amazon?
« on: January 08, 2013, 04:17:21 PM »
I havn't been on amazon in a while but I was under the impression amazon wasn't more expensive than ebay after considering fvf fees plus paypal fees plus shipping where as with amazon its basically just one fee.

as for amazon ive never had much luck on there even when im the cheapest price. i think people go to regular sellers. im surprised by how often when i recoemmend a product on my blogs or sites people always ask me specifically which seller i bought from. i think most people on amazon have a lot of one product where as most of us have one off products one flashlight, one of this, one of that.

one other thing i dont like if you dont go with the paid amazon seller plan your arent allowed to truly list your own products only basically copy other existing listings.

Other Forms of Selling / Re: Wondering if anyone sells on etsy.com?
« on: January 08, 2013, 04:15:08 PM »
etsy has a lot of competition and i think if your not gonna keep up with etsy people only buy from regulars on there in my experience. i come across etsy type items so infrequently its not worth keeping an active profile and listing stuff on there for me

Other Forms of Selling / Re: Anyone Sell On BackPage.com?
« on: January 08, 2013, 04:12:20 PM »
I've tried selling some items on backpage but never had much luck. I don't think anybody goes to backpage for anything besides happy ending massages and escorts. Plus not too steep but its $1 a post for most categories. If anyone finds a slutty massage therapist in a unit though you could probably really make some bank 8)

btw, not sure if you can tell from the pics but its 3dimensional like a sculpture but then also painted

eBay / Re: Local Pick up?
« on: January 08, 2013, 03:56:20 PM »
ONLY TAKE CASH!!!! if you accept paypal all the buyer has to say is they never received the item and they will keep your saw and your money. ebay/paypal will ask you for a tracking number and you wont be able to provide one.
