Just remember those checks only come on the 1st and 15th.  Watch out on the days following.

I'd of done the guy buying them matresses like I do folks here. I'd of asked for his number, and said I can sell you old matress's at $200 ea. all day long and save you the time of coming out... Same for tarps LOL...
I'll add that to my sarcastic terms.  I'll try to pull it out at the next auction.  Pretty funny

I'm interested in how inflated the prices will get once the viewing base gets out of hand.  Good for you bad for the buyer.  I own a restaurant and understand that business is business, but this kind of business may kill off the industry once people begin paying retail for every unit.  I am interested to see what the future holds.
I also like cash only auctions,  keeps many of the undesireables from bidding to the extreme as they can't use the credit card that they will eventually default on to purchase the locker.
Sometimes I'm just bitter.

And everyone has to get a good look, like they even have the cash in their pocket.  I called out some 15 year old kids today because they were taking forever to look into a 10x10.  I said "your allowance isn't quite big enough to get this locker boys".

@chefj
Where abouts up here you lived at?
I grew up in Monroe county, small town called carleton.  Then moved to Royal Oak, then Southfield.  Parents now live in Mount Pleasant, actually a small town called Weidman.

I moved just before the economy, or the housing bubble burst.  Thank god for that.  Moved down to a nice stable red state, without the blood sucking unions.

Correction, Dearborn is the Middle East of the Mid-West.
It has spread much further than that in the last 20 years.  Trust me.

Not gonna lie.  So far the best thing I have purchased, that was unseen until I dug through the little 5x5 was a new canon printer still taped in the box.  Sold it for 99 bucks on ebay, but it was a bonus.  Hopefully the bigger better finds will be in the near future.

Auctions on Saturdays around here are a zoo.  Great for people watching, not so great for scoring units at a reasonable price.

I would post some pics, but Doan and LZ don't allow photography or cell phones....  Which I feel is fair.  Nobody can be on google looking things up this way.

On a side note, I wouldn't be surprised if they're not giving away hotdogs and carnival rides.

thats a pretty funny picture. 42 boxes of crack head clothes, all of which were in wendys french fry boxes would have been quite a few hauls.

i have a stanley 2mil candle power light.  Its a bit much to carry on 20unit plus runs, but it helps to see the back end of the units.

hall county landfill is open 8-4 and its 40 bucks per ton, minimum is 250 pounds or 5 dollars.  Had 2 runs there today and they were 10.80 each time.
