General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Look at this potential
« on: January 08, 2012, 09:29:40 AM »
Update on this unit. Bike looked like hell. Brake and clutch assemblies were either broken or missing, and engine looked liked a gasket had gone bad. Tires looked really bad(at least those front 4 stacked were truly garbage). Put in a $300 bid and didn't get it.

One unit had black mold(and looked horrible). Didn't bid on that one. A 5x10.

Put a $110 bid on a 5x15 showing nothing special, didn't win it, and that for this facility is usually a winning bid.

A 5x5 with a mini fridge, NIB microwave, and 5 totes went for more then my $30 bid(again usually a winning bid at this place).

And 10x30 didn't go up for sale. Oh well I guess.

Well, wish me luck, my silent bid dirt bike unit is up for auction today.  Lost the 10x30 unit due to redemption, but 3 of the 4 units show signs of promise(one unit looks like $hit and appears to have black mold).

Yeah, toolbox in the back is easily worth $150.  I just hope I can get it for what I said, if so I would stand to do really well on the unit.

I have no clue what that wood box is upfront, but judging by the unit, I'm going to bet it has something of some value in it.

My first auction is my Secret SPOT sealed bid auction on friday.  I can't wait I always spend at least 2 days mulling over my bid on the units.  I love having a week to digest what I see and how much to bid.  Can't go wrong at this place.

Wish me luck guys, I really want the auto unit in the other thread I started.

Yeah, rims, tires, tranmission, welder and 50cc dirtbike.  Got a figure in mind for this puppy!  Thinking $550 to 600 on this one, going by fact the tires look so so, don't know if the welder is a top of the line, don't know what brand the 50cc bike is, and I don't know what that trans is to or if it's even good.

Remember this unit?  This unit was supposed to go up in September, got redeemed(Was originally in a thread I created about matresses).  It's back, if it goes up should I worry about stuff being taken out?  I ask becasue I compared pictures from September to now and it's the same picture.  So I am guessing the units gone untouched again since September if it does not warrant taking a new photo.  Really thinking I can score this unit for about $400 to $450(same place i got my other 10x30).

As of right now this place has 5 units, may try to take the sweep, but these 2 are the prize units.

Silent bids at my favorite place where storage wars prices are not found.

Anyone think I can pull these heavy hitters down

stripper costumes, heels = Ebay
porn, sex toys = Ebanned.net (Yes, this is an actual online marketplace)

Thanks for the future reference!

As long as it's not clothes, things I run across on ebay and such of that age go for a good amount at a fast rate.

Yet, these are the same people that will clip coupons for five hours to save 1 dollar on groceries though. I just don't get that mentality.

Why go through all that trouble to save a dollar on food and then not try to save money in other areas? There is no logic in that. When it comes down to it you're saving just as much on a pair of discounted jeans percentage wise as you are when you buy the dresser used or car used.

Why are big items so much easier to sell quickly?

My bigs are nothing special but I swear I get double and triple the emails on big furniture at decent prices then I do on clothes at great prices for nice jeans and such.  What gives?

I ask because I overbid on one unit(by about $35) but the bigs are going to get me outta my overpaying.

It just amazes me.

Btw, scores from the last 2 units are a pair of Coogi Jeans and Jean Jacket(on eBay) netgear NIB router, JP printer(looks new) bunch of Art Van furniture(partical board, but still!), more lamps, clothes and shoes for my huge ass garage sale I'm going to hold in march(yeah glad I have Totes to hold those smalls).  One piece of .925.

The bad, bread that turned to black mush, dropside crib involved in recall, junk f'ing mail, I know where the gold in this unit is, dumb fugg pawned it, unless it's in the two baskets I haven't gone through yet(I know don't expect it, lol).
