@Money   Thanks for the tip, I will look into this. I am also going to run an ad in my local paper.  I can run as many as I want as long as the item I list is below $300, I could run an ad for very item I have LOL

Well do you think that this is done?   Probably auctioneer will write down unit sold for what was owed.

Well sounds like I am getting a good deal.  I do not live in a large city 90,000 people, but large enough to make it worth while.

I was suprised at the traffic at this mall, and it was a Wed.   My only real fear at this point is the mall is so large people might get bored before they make it to my booth.  It is down stairs and there is about 200 booths.

I will see over the next 2 months if it is worth while.

I rented 2 booth spaces yesterday, do not know if it is a good deal or not ($90 a month for both and 10% commision).  Is this normal?

Ths is a very large and often crowded mall.  She says they stay full and only had 3 spots open.  Seemed like there were more spots than that oped but whatever.

Everyone there was really nice, and answered all my questions. I asked if they knew where i could get some shelving to put my items on and they offered to try and find some of theirs that i could use.  They also offered me some clothing racks but I allready have some.

Even though they may be giving me some sheving I have spent all morning on the computer adn going from store to store in town pricing some shelving. I bought 4 metal shelving units for $20 a piece to start with.

Right now I am over whelmed, with finding and putting together shelving and now I need to go through 2 rooms at my house full of things and select what to send to the mall and what to keep for the regular flea markets.  Then I need to tag and price every item.

Whew I feel like I will never get done and I just started  LOL

Busy day yesterday... I thought I had got lucky and found a auction close to home with 17 units advertised.....Wast of time!

Only 6 units.......About 60 people......

When the auction started at the first unit the auctioneer said "Before we open it there is $250 owed on it does anyone want to give me half ( $125 ) blind"  I thought he was joking.  Who wants to bid without seeing the unit?  He was not kidding they sold 3 units "BLIND". Not only were they doing this, the units he opened he would go in the lockers and look in the boxes, open tool boxes, and read name brands to the crowd WTF!

Left very angry at these practices, I thought there may be some fishy things going on between the regulars and the auctioneer.  People that were seen before auction started talking and joking with auctioneer are the ones who bought the "BLIND" lockers with no one contesting there opening bids.  What would have stopped the auctioneer of informing them what lockers to bid on blind as they would have sold for more if they were opened?

Aftere all this I stopped by a Antique shop and flea market that I had heard about but never stopped at.  THis place was huge.  I pass it once or twice a week but thought it was a small shop. I did not realise it had a basement that went  under the whole shopping center and included 2 buildings behind it.  I actually got lost and couldn't find my way back to the office!  LOL   Had to follow arrows on the floor. 

I bit the bullet and rented 2 spaces.  Guess we will see how I do. Going today to start setting up.

I haven't been doing much buying as of late, but since it was the end of the month and next month will be crazy with everyone getting there refund checks thought I would venture out.

Went to a caravan auction, I missed the first two stops because I was checking out another flea market in my area.

AT the third stop there were 4 units. and only 15 people. (was told by another person who had attended the first two that there were only about 10 people and no unit went for over $75.

1st unit- dresser, metal table with no top, and trash bags,,, it went for $20

2nd unit- Looked like it had a full bedroom suite, diningroom, and part of a living room,,,  $190

3rd unit- SAFE!!!! (I thought here we go), misc furniture and lamps, couple of plastic totes $390 I think, WAY OVER PRICED

4th unit-   SUPRISE.....EMPTY

4th stop five units none real interesting except one.   Crowd had grea to about 60 people.

Only unit I will mention is the second unit because it was the only one I got a good look at that was worth mentioning.

It was a 20 X 30 I think.... It had showing office furniture, dirt bike tire I couldn't tell if the dirtbike was attached because a tarp and some bags, some computers, some tvs, vintage board games, household furniture, what looked like a huge refrigerator, some small electronics, and a console pac-man game ( the kind two people sit across from each other not the stand up kind) and about half the locker in the back was hidden.   It went for $1500

I didn't finish the caravan because I figured the crowd would grow some more.

Wished I had went to the first two stops, might could have picked up some small units for cheap
