They do that here in Utah. But now due to the amount of people that are showing up a lot of places storage companys are doing there auctions on line. What sucks is there is a 10% fee that has to paid to auction company good thing is you save on gas and wasting time on junk units.

I am glad to hear this, so that even if they have several more different type of storage war type reality shows, it wont matter, people just are not interested in as much. So they will be jumping on the next BIG thing. Whatever that may be. Maybe exterminating with Billy or something, lol.

Oh almost forogt, I could actually care less about American Pckers, to me it has lost its Entertainment,. However I still love Pawn Stars. Even though I dont watch alot of it.

Have to admit I also enjot pawn stars. They did that cheap sell out energy drink commerical and that did ruin it for me. But I do dvr and watch the show when time permits.

Went to 2 of 4 auctions today by the same auctioneer; here;s the count:

"Bidders".......60; 5 regulars, 55 newbies.

Lkrs.....8 at each location; nothing special. I didn't bid on one due to quality and prices; a couple I would have bid on and won 7 months ago....today prices were double what I would pay.

Here's a pic of the crowd; some are still coming out of hallway door to the left out of frame.



Here are 3 pics of a pretty nice lkr with an "older" look; this one sold for $1,100 and plenty of us would have paid $500 or so for it.







Maybe next time? Getting a little discouraged !

500 is perfect and right on the mark of what I would of stopped at. why people are wanting to pay 1,100 is beyond me. I think it is they have to win regardless

Well get ready for way,way,way high prices now. It use to be buy low sell high. Now its high prices and selling is hard. Remember if you cant double your money your wasting your money. If you pay 600 for a locker you better make 1200

naw, I think a few of them are hard headed, they keep going for that one in a million locker with large sums of cash and gold bars.

Maybe people think there is some kind of an award for the most spent on a locker for the year. To me anything over 600 should be looked at carefully cause you need to make at least 1200 on that unit to make a good profit. This is the year of all back rent has been paid on all units in america plus a better than great profit to the auctioneer.

I have been buy storage units for the past 9 years! Why can't people just be honset and say they would have never done until they say the tv show. They saw the show and looked at the person next to them and said hey this is a great idea. Whats funny is the ideas they are comming up with to sell there stuff while at the auctions. Common sense says have that plan in motion before you buy. Even the people on the scripted shows knows that. They should do a storage bors show on that. And why please tell me why bidding is so high!! Is it to become a winner while there life is loser?? But really why bid so high. Is it the idea to make money and that is why you are at the auction.
