Glendon, get used to it, lots of haters around. I havn't been on the site lately got a new business that's a lot less labor intensive and profitable than storage auctions though I do still try to hit up a few auctions a month and still dabble with my site as well.

Myself as well as TC and many others who run sites or try to do anything outside the box have been met with insults, backhanded compliments and other comments from haters.

I give you props man, I've enjoyed your videos and writings for a long time. I also think its funny some people try to call you fly by night guy or say you never did aucitons or anything else as far as I'm concerned you were the origional in terms of being creative and trying to make a buck off the storage auction craze

Keep doing your thing man.

The Lounge / Re: 5 Pound Copper Bars For Sale $50 Per Bar Free Shipping
« on: November 20, 2011, 08:39:29 PM »
Todd, Back when I posted copper was well over $4.00 a pound. also the price you quote is scrap copper. since your a copper expert you must know that that it takes a lot of energy to melt metals which costs money which is why bars, coins, etc anything minted is going to cost more money. why do you think minted metals go for more than scrap metals? i actually sold off all these bars already but last time i checked the cheapest website was sellign 5 pound candy bars for $75.

I don't watch any of the storage auction reality shows anymore. I'm kind of on a Gold Rush kick although that one is pretty fake, staged and edited as well.

eBay / Re: Drop shipments
« on: November 18, 2011, 09:41:32 AM »
Personally I think drop shippers are whar ruined ebay. Used to be cool for unique items u couldnt find elsewhere or good deals on used items. Now its all drop shipped crap. Say I wana find a deal on a used mp3 player gotta go thru 12 pages or the same 300 chinese offbrands being sold by a dozen sellers. Hell good luck finding a name brand mp3 player in a search even.

Too many drop shippers on ebau especially being this late to the game. If you had ur own site u may b able to do ok as its not an auction format and ur really not comoeting withothers for bus. Some people are either lazy or whatever and dnt really compare prices between sites.

There r legit drop shippers.but unless u ko where to go r have sum1 recommend one ur gonna b sorting thru all sorts of sites that want hi member fees b4 even letting u see their prices. Also other drop shippers wont tell u bc u would be competing with them

Suggestion Center / Re: Storage Auction Depot Ad
« on: November 08, 2011, 11:11:14 AM »
Heading out to a bunch fo auctions wednesday, should be an awesome day 3 facilities in my area are having about 20 plus units a piece which never happens in my area, normally I'm lucky if a facility has 6 auctions. I have about 60 units to see all in about a 12 minute radius. Decided to check out Storage Auction Depot to see if they have anything listed as the rest of my afternoon is open after these morning auctions and big surprise not a single auction in any of hte 50 states.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Email from Storage Auction Talk?

Yeah that guys a little late to the game. The whole craze surrounding storage auctions is done, sure there's still shows and interest but the peak is gone imho.

Also, pretty lame poaching emails off this site as well, I'm turned off to it just because of that. Maybe I'll go put up 1000 posts saying "agreed" just to win the $50 lol.

Also who starts spamming people with a site that's not even fully operational, people check out your site realize flaws and never return.

Also like drew said check out the other storage auction forum that's out there, I havnt checked in ages but the most current post you'll probably find is like 8 months old.

Hey sorry been absent for a while. Basically my buddy wound up losing the deposit. Anything in person only take cash, some people will refuse but just take the bad feedback they will leave you. Generally there's no reason why someon would need to use paypal vs cash in an in person pickup scenario.

eBay / Re: Helpful tips/links
« on: November 03, 2011, 11:14:09 PM »
The ebay help forums are always helpful. I'd been on ebay for years befoe I even checked that out and I was amazed at some of the stupid things I was doing before. for example I was using the post office automated machine where Parcel Post is the only option no First Class. I was paying like $6 to send a t-shirt when it coudl have been done for like $1.75 with delivery confirmation.

Just browsing the various categories you can find some good info. Browse the shippign section for shipping tips, other sections for listing strategies, etc.

look on craigslist its amazing how much people are asking for vhs tapes its crazy hard to believe anyone sells them.

i ws going to make a piece of furniture/art piece out of vhs tapes and was looking to buy on craigslist people wanted like a buck or two a tape, thats what a disc replay type store will pay for dvd's.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Question for the vets...
« on: October 10, 2011, 12:49:46 PM »
Mine was a fluke but my first auction ever was a low crowd auction, silent auction, got a once in a lifetime unit for $400, I didnt keep close track of profits but easily over $4500.

Havn't found a unit like that since. Normaly I try to double whatever I laid out on a unit, 3x or 4x and I'm very happy.
