(DESCLAIMER: OF COURSE I WILL NOT LET MY COMPETITORS GET A REALLY NICE UNIT FOR CHEAP, AND IF I SEE A UNIT THAT APPEARS TO BE A REAL MONEY MAKER I WILL NOT PASS IT UP  )
That is why I bought a unit Sat. it looked like a real Money Maker.  Brand new in the packaging stuff sells!

Yes its sells, unless people can get it at the dollar store or walmart with warranty.

They are new bathroom cabinets made by Brookhaven.  I checked on the web and these things are very high quality.  I have several people that are interested.  I have a full time job and am doing this to see how much it can supplement my income for retirement.  Had a very good locker last month and this looks to be about the same.  Retirement may be early next year ;D

Well I was taking a little trip and decided to take the wife and friends to an auction.  We went in the mini van, but did not plan to bid unless it was something good. :D  Well how does brand new in the packaging real wood cabinets, sinks, ceiling fans, 3 new grarage door openers, used copy machine, and much more sound?  All that for $555 and I have a buyer in the area that is interested and will pick it up from the facility ;D  I will post more tomorrow if he buys.  Also saw three units without a mattress ???

Saw a auction listed in legals of a nearby town.  Called day of auction and the facility owner said its just trash in there.  I repied one man's trash is another man's treasure.  Ask how often they had auctions and he repied this is the first in 4 years.  I show up and one other guy who said it was his first auction in years.  Facility owner opens the unit no old lock in sight and lets us look.  Facility owner said renter told him $200 worth of books were in unit.  The other guy said books are .25 ea. at the flea market must be a lot of books.  The unit had old computer desk, box fan, tool box with magazines in it, and clothes thrown over a few boxes.  Owner ask what we will give I said $5 the other guy said nothing.  Owner said he was starting the bidding @ $50 I told him forget that.  He started on about trying to recover rent lost.  I told him I did not see any money for me to cover gas,  time, and $50.  He said he would just go through it himself OK by me $5 is top.  In the parking lot me and the other guy agreed someone has been watching to much TV or it was some kind of set up.

Try a flea market or yard sale to move low value items.  I do CL for large high value items, Ebay for small high value, and network with as many people as I can.  Just getting started, but plan to suppliment my retirement income doing this.

Jacksonville mostly so far 3 of my 4 units came from there.  Went to some in Madison and Jasper on a Sat., but don't plan to do that again.  Bought the other unit in Cairo, GA.  I drive a Grand Caravan with a 12 X 6 trailer.

FYI for GA members.  I checked the GA office of consumer affairs website, and you can sell them.  I had been told by several people that you could not.

I passed on the first unit that I saw because it had a lot of windows from a commercial building.  I did not have a good way to haul them they were so large.  It was a good looking unit that went for $105 I think.  The glass must have scared off others because it was one of the cheapest unit of that day.

The laws on casket sales vary by state.  Cosco sells them in some states, but can not in GA.  My sister checked just before our mother died.

I'm new at this, but a friend had me interested before the TV shows.  Saw a notice for a sale with a business "Icar Restoration LLC" being in default on a locker.  Visions of motors, tools, parts, and equipment were dancing in my head.  When to a nearby auction and got a locker at 11 AM and the Icar was sceduled for 1:30 PM.  It was at a climate controled facility very nice.  They cut the lock opened the door and there sat......... 2 commercial dehumidifiers, 2 carpet fans, 5 cases of disposable gloves XL "my size", ladder, painting equipment, some tools and carpet cleaner. ???  Well I thought some of it had to work and should be worth a good bit.  8) Manager ask for $300 no bids, $200 no bids, but a guy offered $100.  I went $125 and it so it went until I got it for $225 with sales tax taking it to $240.  Ended up with $112 gas in the trip for both units.  My buddy that helps me wanted one case of the gloves and a fan.
First dehumidifier sold for $732.50 on eBay with the winner paying $52.50 for shipping contacted him and delevered it on a trip to my next auction.  Can we say gas money. ;D
Got a Craig'slist contact wanting carpet cleaner for $723.  Meet him and a different buyer for the 2nd dehumitifier $525 at the same location.  ;D
Had a rusty 10" Huskey adjustable wrench that I took to Home Depot and a new one that retails for $10.  Thinking I can get about $75 a case on the the gloves that I don't keep for myself. With a few tools yet to sell.
The locker was not what I was expecting, but I am very happy with what I got. ;D

I have a friend that does that all the time.  I took a Huskey 10in adjustable wrench back to Home Depot Tuesday and got a new one no problem.  Will keep it and sell one of my old ones at a flea market.

Use a grand caravan with stow-n-go seats and 12x6 cargo trailer.  Bought trailer for this and to haul my motorcycle when needed.  The van serves for my commute when I can't ride the motorcycle to work.
