Stories about Storage Auctions / Re: Lookey Loos Part 3....March, 2011

I went to an auction this morning at 10am. There was about 20-30 people there for 3 units total. 1st locker was full of furniture which sold for $575, second locker was full of paper and cardboard, didn't sell for a buck, and the third wasn't anything great and I walked away once the bidding got up to 425.

Welcome to the Online Storage Auctions Forum / Hello from NJ
« on: March 06, 2011, 09:11:27 AM »
I recently stumbled across these forums and found myself reading practically every thread on here. I have to admit I was introduced to Storage Auctions from Storage Wars and Auction Hunters and have been intrigued by the business.

Rather than say this looks like a great way to make quick money, I took a realistic approach to this and started doing research. I am planning on attending my first set of auctions this week and am going in with two things, an open mind and a spending limit.

While I am aware I am a newbie to this, and will possibly be labeled as a looky lou by the pro's, I am going in with the intentions of doing some hard work and make some hard earned cash. I will be doing this with a friend of mine and we have sat down and established ground rules for bidding, and hopefully will have some success because of this.

I'm grateful I found a resource like this because it puts things in much better perspectives than that which the TV shows have. Anyway, Hello from NJ!
