I would agree. If you are just starting and have the room, I would hold on to stuff unless you know it really is not worth enough to justify it. Im guessing you prob have the room if you are just starting. The table is not in that bad of shape. You should be able to get a little out of it. The sides going down like that would make it a drop leaf table, may be wrong. I found a Harvest drop leaf table in my first unit that is currently at a high-end antique shop selling for 700$, but they take 50% unfort. I would throw the table up on Clist for around 35$ bucks or so to start off with. You can always drop it down if you don't get any emails on it. A lot of people like fixing up furniture as a hobby, and that table could be a good project for someone. I had an older dresser that was beat to ****, way worse than that, but probably more collectible, I put it up on Clist for 40$ and had a tone of emails and sold it within 3 days.

My best unit to date was from an unlikely auction. It was at a moving company on a Saturday, and there were a LOT of people there. They broke down all the units except for 4. I didn't bid on anything until the 4 units. The first 2 seemed to go for well more than they should have. The 3rd and 4th units were the ones I was going to bid on. The 3rd a large table, covered. I was pretty sure it was a conference table, which it was. There were also what seemed to be older high-end executive chairs, they didn't look to be in great condition. In the back you could see some baby strollers, car seats. The bidding started at around 100..125, guy shot it up to 200. Going once, going twice.... I jumped in last second at 225$... the auctioner was really quick, I didn't mean to almost lose it like that. He gave a few seconds.. sold. I was pretty happy at that point, but still was unsure as it was tough to tell the condition of the chairs.

The chairs ended up being very high quality and all in pretty good to good shape. I sold them for 80$, 70$, 60$ and kept the 4th for my office. The chairs and table were all Lazboy and very nice but older. The table has sat in my garage for a while now. I listed it for 300$ and had someone come 2 days later and would have taken it if it were a tiny bit smaller. I finally sold it for 150$ just to get it out of here as I had already done well on the unit.

Thebaby strollers and car seats ended up being where the real money came from. I sold the two strollers for 70$ and 50$. I had 2 Orbit car seats, stroller seats that I sold together to a guy for 250$. I sold another car seat for 75$ and have another that I will get around 50$ for. I also have some decorative items that I am going to sell at flea market and will prob get around 20$ for.

I have made 475$ profit so far and have a really nice office chair. Once the rest sells, I should be at 550$ profit. It was not anything crazy, but it was great for a day's work and I was able to empty in 1 trip with my Jeep and my firned's truck.

It is crazy how much these car seats and strollers are and how much you can sell them for used.

I just got a unit on Thursday with these little movie poster/cards in them.

They are all for The Good, The Bad, The Ugly and all the different countries movie posters for the movie but are really small. I have searched online for a while and can only find info on the actual posters, which are from 250$ to 1,800$. Im sure these are nowhere near that, but hoping they still have some value. They are all from 1965 to 1966. 

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to find out or who I could contact?

That's a good idea, adamanteus. I am having a yard sale this weekend and may give that a shot.

I am selling them really cheap, just seems to be no market. I may try a flea market sometime soon and put them out really cheap and see if anyone is interested. I think I might start asking all my friends if they want any for free as well. I already did well on the unit, so they are just starting to get to the point where they are just taking up space that I could put other inventory.

Thanks for all the info, Lance. Great to get to hear from someone who actually has some realy insight instead of everyone else putting out all these claims of "oh, I read this somewhere or heard this."

As far as the 5 of them usually all being there, this is what they do for a living. I normally see the same handful of guys at almost every auction I go to around the Raleigh, NC area. They probably try to cordinate them getting together more so for the sake of the show, but all of these consipiracy theories are kind of funny. There is also the point that they probably follow them day after day and just use the handful of best auctions that will make for a good show to make their handful of shows for that season. Also, they always add the value of the locker up and round up, not to mention that they are saying what the estimated value may be and don't factor in that, for the most part, that is not what they are going to receive for the item. If I find an item with a value of 500$, I am glad if I can get 350 for it. Dave Hester is probably the only one getting close to full potential value. What they show at the end of the recap of winners and losers is always less from when they do the little adding up the value of everything in the lockers.

Mr. Anderson. I am in North Carolina and the one you posted about Linden, NC is not listed anywhere I checked, but it is going on when I called the place. It is not on auctionzip, storageunitauctionlist, or the other crappy free site I use. Would you mind telling me where you were able to find out that information. I have been doing this as a 2nd job for about 6 months now and still don't feel like I am finding out about a number of the auctions around the Raleigh, NC area. I think it may be easier in some areas then others, or Im just not looking in the right places.
