ok i was at a storage auction today here in memphis and when we came up on a lkr and started to open the door it got hung up because of the way it was packed. As the crowd waited for the auctioner to open the lkr the lkr owner showed up and said they wanted to pay their payment. the auctioner asked if they had 525 dollars to pay it and they said yes and walked away to talk amongst themselves. they walked back over and said they would return in five minutes and left. this lkr was the type that had a door on each end so the auctioner took us around to the other side to try and open it from that way and had to go get a grinder to cut the lock off. he returned with a grinder cut the lock and started the bidding. the lkr sold for 800. after the woman who won the lkr put her lock on it and we looked at a few more units the people who originally owned the lkr showed up with money in hand and wanted to pay the bill but the auctioner told them it was too late. well then the name calling and threatening began and the police were called. i didnt stand around to see what happened but i was just wondering since i am new and all if this is something that happens on a regular basis?
