I am a newbie and cant figure out how to add a pic to my profile.  I am an intelligent person and have spent way too much time trying to figure this  out. Can anyone help me??

I hear what you are saying Movie Man.  Believe it or not, I think I have worked on the issue a little bit since my last auction.  I am sure there are many others similar to me, mostly newbies.  It is something I respect you veterans for.  I also respect the knowledge you guys have about what is  worth what and figuring out how high to go.  It is really cool when someone looks into the unit and says I can get that for this much, and that is worth this much, etc.  I have spent a ton of money buying value guides on all types of items.  Toys, electronics, books, antiques, collectibles, etc.  You name it I have a value guide on it.  I try and spend at least a half an hour reading through them and trying to learn that way.  There is nothing like experience, but when you are new, that isnt an option and something you can rely on.  It will take me quite a while to be able to do what you guys do, so for now I have to try and learn all I can to cut down on overvalueing.  I can thank my ADHD for this problem.  I try to remember to take an extra Aderall before an auction.

I can tell you from a personal experience that dealing with hotwheels and matchboxes is miserable, that is if they arent brand new in the package.  I got a huge bin from a clean out and have sold only a few.  I went through every single car (at least a hundred) and separated them into whether they are hw or mb and then by year.  I have OCD and have researched them over and over again.  I bought value guides for both and study each car one at a time.  I have several red lines and other cars that have a value, but cannot get through my thick head that they are only valuable if they are like new and/or in original package.  I hate these cars! One of my biggest problems, with all my items, is that if I think it might be valuable, I hang on to it til I absolutely know whether the answer is yes or no.  The problem with this is I never find out! I have the mindset that I am looking for that diamond in the ruff and dont want to be someone who sells something for pennies that becomes a diamond in the ruff for someone else.  That would kill me.  I'm such an idiot 

What I hate most about CL are the sellers who have never spent a day selling on ebay, and want to get the same amount as you would on ebay.  They list what they want for it and justify by saying its going for X amount on ebay.  I cannot resist and have to respond with a big f u!  I tell them all the same thing:  You obviously have never sold a single item on ebay, cuz if you did, you would understand that you cannot get the same amount that one would get on ebay.  They do not take into consideration the hard work and time it takes to sell items on ebay.  First you research the value of the item, then you take a picture and load it into your computer, then you create the listing and attach the pics, then you have to respond to all questions in a timely manner, which involves checking many times a day, and finally you have to package and ship the item, also in a timely manner.  What makes them feel they are entitled to the same price?  I know the answer to my own question...ignorance!!

Thank you.  I have no desire to be spoon fed so please dont think that.  I have 2 small businesses I started by myself, one of them being one of the hardest businesses to start and run (elder home care) so I absolutely dont want to be spoon fed.  Plus, I respect those of you who have been in the business and would never think of taking your time.  I am totally capable of learning how to start one.  I wrote a 43 page business plan for my home care business and would never enjoy anything I didnt work hard for myself.  Grew up poor and it is really important to put in the hard work for anything I have.  Basically looking for a quick response as to how difficult and time consuming it was, before I started on the new venture.
