I think the "droves" part of it has been on the wane for a while now, hopefully interest will continue to go down.

I might have defended the show very early on, (though I couldn't direct anyone to a thread that proves that) but it didn't take long for it to become more apparent that it was rigged. Auction hunters got worse as it went along too with the finding of antique weapons almost weekly.

As to that last laugh.....the producers of the show had that on all of us....until one of their paid toadies (DAVE) blew their cover !   ;D

I'll still watch the show just for entertainment.  Is all that it ever was.  I did find the "plastic surgery" part interesting.  Need to find some before and after photo's of Brandi.

I agree, I think the "droves" of newbies is over, but they will still continue to trickle into the scene more so then before the TV shows. The economy is really not getting any stronger in most parts of the country. A lot of people looking for jobs and more importantly, people who have jobs but are looking for extra income. Many will watch the shows, some for the first time, and never here about Dave's lawsuit, so they will hit the auction scene with a fresh wad of cash and stars in thier eyes!

All in all, I believe the damage is done, the inferno is just now a dying blaze, and who ever is left that can really make a living in this VERY TOUGH business will pick up the pieces and carry on. I just can't imagine the auction scene being any worse then it was between February 2011 to March 2012, but "who knows"?  :)

Guess we can watch for the entertainment if the show contiunes to have a strong following as people were dumped to beleive this was a real show and if ad companys still want to attach there names to a show that lied and is now false. A and E might have to cancel show.

A and E might have to cancel show.

One solution for them would be to just use up the remaining taped episodes (however many that might be) and let the original series "die" at that point.  It would take real "guts" to try to keep it going after this ruckus.

Then they could just concentrate on the Texas and New York versions and whatever changes they might make in the way the produce those shows.

I haven't watched the Texas version since the first 3 episodes of season one. Just can't take it.  I'll watch the New York and see how it pans out, but when you get right down to it  the personalities are what make the shows work or not. I couldn't stand the "bring it" woman from Texas and I thought the use of Moe as the Barry counterpart was a cheap shot too.

Oh, then you're gonna love Joe, the guy they cast as "Barry #3" and Mike the cocky kid who loves “busting other people’s chops.”

Turn off Honey Boo Boo, we have a new TRAIN WRECK

Nope, not going to watch the Texas show so no love will be lost. Last night after the original series was over I switched channels.
