Season Finally of Auction Hunters

Amen to that. Glad to see it go. Although I enjoy watching it, the neg outweigh the positives. I was at an auction this morning with 2 units and there was almost 100 people there. Most of them had no intention of buying anything. I scored the first unit for $15 cause there was a lot of stuff to move. Nobody wants to work, they all want the units with boxes full of gold bars and guns or hidden cars. It's crazy, half the people there are driving Nissan Sentras and Honda Civics so you don't have to worry about them bidding on most units. They all have the flashlight and lock, like the show told them to bring though, lol. I'm just over it. Ready for them to all forget about it and get caught up in the next reality series, maybe they can run with the bulls or do demolition derby or something for a while....

So whats wrong with driving a Nissan Sentra to auction?
I do that every time, and i always pick up a unit or two each time.

You will be burned one day if you look down on people, one day one of those with a Nissan sentra will snatch the dream locker right infront of your nose.

yeah nobody reads the disclaimer for that show. 100s of units. digging through dirty socks and drawers. To find that one nugget. But it gives me hope that maybe one day that hard round thing in the dirty sock is a antique pistol and not another used *****.

Yeah, those are hard to sell when they're used!  And I hope you were wearing gloves when you reached in and grabbed it!   ;D

Oh jeez get over yourself. Now I offended those of you that drive a nissan sentra. My point was that I go to auction and buy and I'm not scared of work. I don't drive my little car that can't haul anything around looking for guns and gold nuggets. Hey if thats what you guys do, more power to you, but I show up ready to work. As far as outbidding me on the "dream unit" keep chasing that dream unit and let me know how that works out for you. I am there day in and day out good, bad, ugly, buying units. If I find something dreamy great, but we all know most of it is far from dreamy and you just gotta know how to hustle.

I would hate to bid on somthing that has 30 CRT monitors and old TV's hidding in the back, because it costs me $15-$20 each to dump.I will say people still use them, because i put about 10 on the road side for free and they were gone in about two hours.Three came back the next morning.

You can usually find a good deal on used Uhauls and Ryder trucks. I used one for years for my granite company

We are very lcuky here with TVs.  Goodwill has a deal with the county.  Goodwill takes them working or not and the county pays them like $5 each.  Of course it is covered by a tax on electronic goods but I have gotten rid of dozens of TVs that way. I no longer even try to see if they work unless it is an LCD or Plasma it is scrapped that means the easy to remove copper is removed then it goes right to goodwill.

+1 for that!  The only problem I have found with that is they only let you take a maximum of 5 computers and tvs at a time, and I've showed up more than once with 8-10!  They give me some crap usually about how the limit is five, and I tell them I can drive around the block and come back if it will make them feel better, and they always end up taking them.  I give them a lot of other stuff too, so they really make out on this program!
