Piece by piece auction....mid November, 2013
« on: November 10, 2013, 03:36:56 PM »
Wish I had more to say that was good about this set of two auctions.

Unfortunately the 5 or so at the first place were junk. I didn't even bid on a single piece.

The second place at 12. A guy who usually spend a couple of hundred bucks, spent $30. Another spent $25. I spent $5.

That says it all....losing proposition. The purchase I made will go for $40 and I just bought it because I knew I could move it and it would pay for the gas and some of the time I spent.

One doesn't know of course unless one goes to see what's there, but that didn't stop one fellow from telling me "You could have stayed at home and made that much."  Monday morning quarterbacking only works after the game is over.

But that is what separates the pros from the newbies.
I am still a newbie and have to constantly remind myself a penny saved is a penny earned.
I have been taught a couple of expensive lessons, not so much by money but by the time spent cleaning, processing, and selling junk units.
Anyway good job showing restraint.
