Auction hunters is staged and they put stuff in lockers

Auction hunters is staged and they put stuff in lockers

I am from Hawaii and the last two episodes were faked , including a long list of stuff, with order of lockers shown as they claim they were show or purchased  or lockers they bought and didn't show ( they bought one small locker that didn't make the editing room in Kailua this last episode) , people bidding against them  some are actors, this so called assistant ( blonde girl )  that has been apart of the past few episodes is a paid participant / actor  that auction hunters hired , she was introduced to me as a new buyer from California . I can imagine there needing to be some shuffling or omission of lockers they saw while filming because of time constraints but to outright lie on tv about the order of lockers they saw or purchased or even the number available is a big fat lie and not a genuine auction experience. I was a huge fan of the show before they came here and had my doubts as to them finding gun after gun after gun after gun in these lockers but after meeting and seeing first hand how it operates I'm no longer interested in watching a stupid fictional play. In the more than a week they were here I talked with ton and Allen aNd also their manager. I got to chat it up with the stars t and a and got some revealing insights to how they do their show. I am a serious auction buyer and I feel disrespected by their little lies and drama of artificially stuffed or fixed lockers. I have multiple proofs of the show being rigged both first hand and secondhand. It's a small island and word travels fast . They bought up antiques quite a big assortment from different antique shops to stuff in the lockers along with 2 huge koa surf boards that I saw and heard them filming while they were going through their lockers. They were being directed well by their producer telling them exactly what to say and exactly what each of them were holding. The outside unit they bought wouldn't have been able to fit  the surf boards inside the locker . Coinsidentally they rare valuable koa surfboards didn't make the editing floor nor did the koa ukeleles they bought on island and did stuff in the lockers but didn't show them opening. Awwwwwww too bad but no worries you had plenty more stuff you bought that you can put in. Ton and Allen don't actually get to go through the lockers the same day until the producers do . Allen told me himself when I asked him the next day at the kailua self storage after the first auction at Hawaii self storage . He said they can't go in them until the producer/ team go through and mark out names offf boxes ect and what a great time to stuff the locker with your lies. Their first auction at Hawaii self storage they were seen ( production crew) taking ukeleles and othe boxed items into the facility. Ton and Allen didn't actually get to go through those lockers until a couple days later which is standard operating procedure. I noticed this when I saw them in Kailua my home town days later doing the filming with the surf boards. The mini bike in the last locker which they paid nearly 2000 dollars on not the 1000$ they lied about was not in that small unit nor could it have been hidden like they would want every one to believe. That particular unit was all boxes neatly staked up on the walls and there was no room for a bike to be hidden . I have other people that could attest to that , ohhh by the way theydidnt sell their units for what they said they did cuz I bought 2 of the 3 units ( the rest of the items)they purchased in Kailua  for only 100$ their manager offered they other unit to me for 900$ with the hydro stuff but I didn't want to buy it cuz it had plant residue from previously growing pot. At most he sold it for 1100 to another guy they found on craigslist. Their manager told me that that's how they get rid of stuff is sell it to other auction buyers sooooo they can lie and easily inflate how much the other items sell for . Which ton and Allen definitely don't sell themselves since they are actors you see . Anyway I have plenty more to say but will take a break for now. So yes auction hunters like Santa clause is fake

Yeah quite a paragraph indeed but I am still hot over the show being bogus ,fake , lies , super inflated prices and you get the idea . One of the antique guys in my little beach town knows anyone who is in the antique business on island . He actually owns two businesses in Kailua and his wife runs one and he the other . Anyway word was going around about them buying up antiques before the auctions started and I personally saw the surf boards myself and watched them being directed on what they were and what to say about them but it didn't make the cut. Also you can see that chick in part of the last episode pushing out the cart and on top was the ukeleles they bought but also didn't make the cut . I'm not sure where they got the sled and also the motorcycle(I bet my life that it was not in the locker,it couldn't hide or fit anywhere) but can tell you they already had it planned out cuz they went to Kualoa Ranch to film their little bogus volcano sled  literally a day after going through the Hawaii self storage locker. Another tid bit is that their manager told me that ton and Allen cherry picked out the stuff they liked/ good stuff and shipped back to Cali. Our local reporters actuall filmed /interview them and they showed their unique rarer finds but not mentioning   the gun they found the ukeleles koa surfboards motorcycle and on and on , I'm mad again at the fakeness of the show stupid stupid stupid  . I don't know how they can keep lying and get away with it . Their days are numbered that's for sure . Spike tv kick em off for being fake

Most of us in the business have known since day one that the show is staged. We just except it as TV drama and not reality TV. The ones I feel sorry for (sort of) are the ones that get sucked into thinking that the garbage units are worth thousands of dollars. If someone is looking to furnish a home, then buying the right storage unit is a great way to overpay and still save a lot of money.

However, if someone is buying in order to resell, then buying a unit at or near retail pricing is just a waste of time and effort. As to Spike, for them it's all about ratings not content accuracy. As long as the viewership for the show is up there it will stay on the air.

I suppose this would be more believable if it were posted before the show aired however.

There's no way to compare what you see at the auction versus what's on TV until you see the aired episode...right? I mean, if it were me I'd have no way of knowing ahead of time what is going to be included and what is going to be edited in or out).

Talked to a guy today that went to the last auction at the Kailua mini storage and he first said hey I saw you on auction hunters today ( actually another guy recognized me too) anyway they claimed that he was  one that was their competition and was bidding them up ect . And even did some cut scenes of him winning a locker and he bid on a locker but didn't win one . He was calling bs on the whole episode especially the little motorcycle and was mad that they showed him winning / buying a locker that he didn't . They need to take better notes at auction because when the editing people get through theses shows , they are not even 50% accurate ???  :-*  >:( attempted to watch an episode tonight but a crappy rerun of having to watch them act excited again and again. They strike it rich in every city over and over again . It's not their most rare and valuable finds when they actually list the seasons episodes and where they are going to go  before they get there or film .

Of course it's fake. Does anyone really fly to Hawaii or go to Alaska to bid on a storage locker.
