weirdest, strangest, sickest unit ever.

weirdest, strangest, sickest unit ever.
« on: November 29, 2011, 03:06:06 AM »
Ive been reading these forums for a while but never thought i needed to post anything till this week.  Me and my buddy we buy on avg 5-10 units a week and right before the thanksgiving break we bought some units but did not have a chance to go through all the boxes till last night.  Now I cannot sleep and im posting on the forum for the first time lol.

When the doors rolled this unit had about 25 brown boxes all labled paperwork.  No one was bidding so we purchased the unit for $25 as a gamble and yea we will be able to make our money back but just wow at the things we found.  The 1st box I opened was all paperwork but there was a resume of some sorts and It showed a guy who graduated college back in the 50's as a doctor and listed a bunch of other items and jobs but i couldn't be bothered to read it at the time so i closed the box and proceeded tot he next.  In this box i find around 200 little cases and each case is holding around 25 slides.  Each slide has images of DEAD BODIES and various organs.

At this point im like WTF i keep going and find 4 more boxes just like this... and a bunch with just paperwork.  Then i find a box that had a big grey briefcase in it and open it and it gets worse its some sort of kit with cutting devices and blood testing supplies including slides and tubes.  There are alot of gloves and and these huge syringes that are just massive looking.  Then there is a section that you can pull down and it reveals a CUTTING BOARD with dried up blood on it.  WTF

I just knew it couldn't get any worse then it does..  I move on to the next box and its full of small items wrapped in packing paper.. so i unwrap one and its a bag that has been sealed with body parts and parts of organs..  I only opened 4 of im guessing 50 and I had to stop... one was like a scalp with dark colored hair one looked to be part of a liver one was like part of a face lips, nose area and the last one I have no idea what it was...

This tops off anything I had ever found before...  I was able to find alot of hardcover dr. books and some pretty cool sculls on stands and a box full of dexter like blood samples. =\  ohh went back and looked at the resume again... guy was a doctor then medical examiner (that examined the remains from david koresh and those other weirdo's)

Hmm - sounds like a unit my wife would of loved to search.  Of course she is getting her masters in Forensic Science and reads books about the body farm and such.  Yes - she can be a little strange.

I see someone is a Ron White fan.

Nothing really strange or such for me.  Some nasty food left in container type stuff is it so far for me.

So how does one PROPERLY dispose of said items found in this locker. I can see all kinds of legal issues if not handled the right way.

My sickest unit was from a junkie, used needles everywhere, in every box, every bag, etc. It took a long time to go through everything cause I had to touch everything very carefully. It turned out to be one of my most profitable lockers. I did'nt get stuck by anything if anyone is wondering, but I love telling the story to newbies at auction, kinda turns them off to the business ( I leave out the part about it being profitable!)

That's scary!  We all (I would assume) have the tendency to dig right in.  You are lucky you weren't stuck.
Glad you made a profit on it.

For me.....the stripper's suitcase full of all kinds of kink and some serious shoes.  I'm sure the shoes were once expensive, but after she (I'm assuming it was a she......) tried to paint them herself (she was no Rembrandt).....well let's just say.....there goes any profitability.  That came out of the icky unit.....and let me tell ya.....icky it was........

Warrants, drugs and porn have seemed to be the norm~found both in 3 outta 5 units~

Warrants, drugs and porn have seemed to be the norm -- yep Rockin it pretty much is.  I have to say those are normally my better units also since they normally have electronics / games / game systems also in them for me.

As for needles and such I wear gloves and am always on the lookout for crap like that.

Since my girls like to "dig" with me I'm hypersensative to what is in a unit.  I mostly search all boxes, totes, and stuff before I let my helpers even look inside.

Got any research hospitals or universities near you? They might be interested in the slides and body parts which would relieve you of the disposal costs. Of course a disposal doesn't cost that much to run! ;)

I am not sure it would be legal to try and sell the body parts. The slides no problem, I think you should be able to get rid of them like Alloro said at a Medical University.

Wow. I think I might have found that unit a little fascinating. Slides you could easily sell,as far as the body parts, you might want to go to a hospital, and talk to them about where you should dispose of medical waste.

I was at an auction house last year and there were slides with bodies, severe injuries and the like. Probably from the 60s-70s. About 50 slides per box. Ended up going for around $75 a box. One went for $300 for the box. So there is profit there!

According to the lawyer from the show Obscura on the Science channel (I know, I know: it's official, right?) body parts ARE legal to sell as long as it has no more medical value.  Selling a good, usable liver is a big no-no, but stuff that's been preserved for science and **** is okay.

Makes sense to me.
