So much so that almost the entirety of modern music is focused on this. What I've been hearing more and more the last 5 years is technical music devoid of "riffing" at all. When I write music, it's almost a given that my hand doesn't move much. I mean that is the nature of the dj neck. You have so many power available in one hand length.
