Remember the saying (not exact)...."Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him to fish and he will eat forever." ?  Over the years I've found that taking the effort (at least for me) pays bigger dividends in the end.

I once set a young man up with a book (and CD) on web design. After he worked with it for a total of 30 minutes he said "Couldn't you just show me?".
