He is still found in the stats list for his work HERE, but he jumped ship sometime ago.

You can find him at link below.

Don't know and would only be speculating.  He is still on the top posters list in the stats area here. Click on his name there and then send him a Private Message from here. He'll see an email pop up in his regular email box and maybe he would even come back here to respond.

Picking through trash? Literally? No thank you. I'll stick to storage units.

With a six-figure salary like yours (from your online efforts) I'm surprised you still deal with $50 upholstered chairs on Craigslist.

It doesn't matter how much I make, I still be a digger. It's the thrill of the hunt! I don't mind digging through boxes and bags but I draw the line at trash bags filled with used Kleenex and banana peels.  :D

Does anybody else get creeped out by somebody “Checking Up” on the members of this forum?

Travis, you might want to rein in your detective a little bit. It is almost stalker-ish the way this might be interpreted by new members of the forum. Not a very good way to encourage new people to post their comments if they know there is someone that is gong to be “Checking Up” on them…

And this isn’t the first time it has happened…

That would be like trying to get my dog to stop chasing critters.

What creeps me out is pictures of men wearing "wife beater" shirts standing next to engine blocks.  ;D

Actually it's quite easy to see what someone is up to in the buying and selling world; take Jrossjr for example from the original post in this thread.  Just go to the STATS page on this forum and look at top 10 posters section. JRoss is #5 of the top ten posters with almost 900 posts during his time here.

If you click on his name there it will take you to his profile which clearly shows to the entire world several links where he  sells items.  Combine that with the fact that in one of his posts he commented that he did most of his chatting about the business on the "other" website and it's not a stretch to see what he's up too.

People are "on the radar" anytime they make posts about their activity. Anyone can access that info without much effort.
People who have websites also have public records of their home addresses, etc.

I watch some people here because I'm interested in their buying and selling routines that I might learn from. Of the around 3,000 members there are only 10 or so who post on a regular basis with maybe another 10 to 15 who post less often and maybe another 15 or so who post less than that. The vast majority of those 3,000 never post at all...now those are the ones that are harder to find.

Meanwhile, remember those eyes in the sky and Google Streetview vans are always active, so a real view is always a possibility out there.

I'm glad to hear they now creep you out instead of getting you excited.  :D
