Final update~
My husband just called to say he is leaving Santa Fe with a check for $3500 in his possession!

So that ($525) unit netted us just over $4000!  And we still have 'stuff' to sell.

I do have to say it was an ordeal, from dealing with the galleries to my husband staying in Show Low AZ last night (at his moms) with NO heat.  Temp was 9 degrees.  But the heat is back on~repaired this morning before he left.  The painting is where it belongs.  And we have seed money for future endeavors (we were using our savings).

Yippee!

oh and I still have a Pablita Velarde original (too much water damage to be gallery ready).......

Go me!

Bought a unit yesterday it had a oil on canvas abstract.  The tag on the back said it was from the Artmaster Studios San Fernando California and it has the initials BJ on the painting.  Researching I found that this studio mergered with Vanguard in the early 90's so that is as far as I got.  I was wondering if anyone could give me some help?

Have you tried calling the (now merged) studio?  I was lucky to find a gallery that was actively seeking paintings by Velarde.  I can't remember the art site I used, but if I can think of it (or relocate it~why don't I bookmark???), I'll let you know.  I know I bounced all over the place before I stumbled on to it.

Good luck~

edit~it was askart.com.  I did not research your artist as initials make it kinda tough~ :-\

I don't know why I'm doing this as I hate art, but I found this~doesn't mention your artist, but gives more info on the studio.

I hope the link works, as I've never posted a link on this site.....
I'm gonna keep digging~
