North East / How's things in your area?
« on: June 16, 2011, 03:55:17 PM »
I've from South Central PA and things are pretty hectic here. Around the small towns its mostly regulars and 2 to 3 newbies. But when I get close to Harrisburg, or Baltimore MD, the attendance goes from 15 people, to around 150 people. Anything looking better in other parts of PA or MD?

What's it Worth?? / Signed Richard Nixon Document
« on: June 02, 2011, 08:04:58 PM »
I got a document that may be signed by Richard Nixon, however I know fakes exist and sometimes the secretarys signed papers. It came in a White House envelope, and also has the Presidential Seal on the document. It is an Armed Forces memorial document. I'm more curious if anybody knows how to tell if it's authentic than a value really. I'll post scans either tonight or tomorrow.

Stories about Storage Auctions / Bought 3 units today
« on: April 08, 2011, 07:36:30 PM »
Went to a local storage facility today. About 9 lockers I believe were up for auction. Around 25 people there with only a few newbies. Most went for pretty cheap. Although the full ones went pretty high (the newbie bought it. even admitted it was his first and he did it because the TV shows). I bought one for $20, one for $15 and the last one for $10.

the first cost me $20. Not much in there that I could see, but I saw a box of wire and I knew I could scrap that for a good price. I was sorting through the boxes and found a grocery bag full of money (change). After I got it home it was $38.87 cents worth of pennies and dimes!

The second had mostly clothes in (which I just took to the goodwill) but I also found a console TV (which I'll scrap for copper), a TON of new blue jeans (size 52W).

The third was only $10 but it had a iron refrigerator cart in it. A junk dresser, lots of kids clothes, and a box of brass faucets. Which I may scrap them if they don't sell. Brass is at $1.95 a lb here. All in all I was pretty happy with my haul

The Lounge / Record and Pro Wrestling Items
« on: March 11, 2011, 04:33:30 PM »
I am an avid record collector & dealer. I also collect pro wrestling memorabilia.

As far as records, I'll buy 45's LP's and 78's. I'll pay depending on condition, title, and artist. I'll pay more for items that I want for my personal collection (new wave, punk, garage).

Also, I'll buy any pro wrestling items I do not currently have. I usually do not buy to sell with those. Videos, figures, magazines, toys, anything pro wrestling related.
