« on: July 31, 2011, 08:30:56 PM »
At the last big locker I got , We sold a few Large pieces to other dealers at the auction , unloaded a few wooden chairs at a yard sale and flea market's , and after two months of no interest at the flea market , or from CL , I broke up the rest as I needed the room .

  Thanks  Jross
That area was on My list for more research after I found a post about " The Big Fisherman "
  Rockport Texas Campground recomendation

I have stayed at Woody Acres in Fulton because a buddy winters there. Just a few miles from Goose Island. If you are only going to be there a short time, take you pick but call in advance. I have been to Woody Acres twice a year for the last 3 years, staying 10-14 days at a time. Friends always had me a site close to them but January was unusually full this time. Regardless of where you stay, be sure to visit "The Big Fisherman" south of Rockport. They have a "all you can eat" chicken fried steak, livers or gizzards with 2 sides for less that $3.00 on Tuesdays between 11:00-4:00. They sell margaritas while you are waiting in line for a buck. If there is a long line, don't worry, it usually snakes out the door but we have never waited longer than 1/2 hour. Charlotte Plummers is a little more upscale but very good seafood. If you stay at Woody Acres, please P.M. me. I will give you the name of my buddy.

$ 320  a month with a hot tub and heated pool , and this is in the mid price range for the area

HER or the CAR?
Your Choice...
But The Car is Better Looking & A Whole Lot Cheaper!

2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS

As much as this car & my wife are loved and will be missed. I am forced to part with both, So my loss is your gain here. The car has less than 10,000 miles on it, her- a little more-just saying. The car has never seen snow, she can be as cold as ice. The car was garage stored when not in use, she is making me move out to the garage. This car has extraordinary acceleration with the 6.2L V8, superior handling, excellent value, head-turning looks, unique interior design, great fuel economy, and a throaty boasting exhaust, which beats a *****y mouth any day.

   Hi Jross
I am just looking for warmer weather and No excessive snow , as My old body hurts more every winter .                                                                                   When We got back from our cross country trip in Feb. , Our cars were under 4 Ft. + of snow . ( I called My parents and had the crew that plow there driveway    shovel out  our car for $ 75.00 ) Nothing like driving 12 hrs. then having to shovel over 4 ft. of snow at 10:00 Pm.

  Nice first score Alabama Dude
You all have to start somewhere , I have gotten lockers like that before , We would just break up the Fall-A Particle Board armoire , bring the TV camping with Us , ( to a campground with cable ) throw in a cable lead and sell the TV for $ 20/$25  to another camper when We leave  , or just put next to the dumpster .
And yard sale/flea market the rest .

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Children at Auctions
« on: July 29, 2011, 07:38:20 PM »
At the auction in Nh. a couple of weeks ago , One Couple besides bringing the kids also brought Gram. and Gramps.  to push the baby buggy  and they had to get a look inside too .
I really shouldn't talk , When We started doing auctions back in 89/90 We brought our 6 yr. old daughter , but then You were on  mailing list and had to call at the last min. to see how many, or if still on .
Sometimes there would be only 3 to 5 bidders , at one auction of 4 units , We were the only bidders Me , wife , and 6 yr old daughter .
Auctioneer asked her if she had her allowance with her ? We bought two of them for  $ 25. ea. and cleaned out the others for $ 5.00  ( got $ 8.00 in bottle returns plus a wedding dress in  the trash bag of one of them .

If I remember correctly as told to Me once , in New Hampshire a Locker Facility owner can , after the public notices , hold a Public OR Private Auction , and this site seems to confirm that .

No personal locks allowed on there storage unites anymore , they provide the lock and that includes to leased lkr's.                                                                                       If you win you dont get a key you have to go to the office and get them to unlock the locker for you.

I find it hard to  believe that people are actually renting lockers from them  , I know I wouldn't  ::)
I like our lockers ,  Gated , Alarmed , and right under a camera .

I think " Manager Specials " happen more often then people think .
A few years ago , We were selling in Old Orchard Beach , Maine at a seven day a week Summer Flea market  and a customer asked where We were from ,as She wanted to buy some more of our items . When I told Her , She asked me if I knew where  ( Insert name here ) Storage was ? as Her Sister in law and Her husband managed it .
She wished they could manage one too , for all the great benefits , like they are all ways giving family members stuff ,and had just given her  sister a big screen tv that was abandoned in a locker .                                                                                            In fact , They have so much stuff ,  they have a yard sale every weekend at there summer home in Maine .
Did I mention that facility was where We were storing Our stuff and had for 3 yrs..
When I had My two pinched nerves and a Herniated disc , we were a week late paying the rent and He had all ready cut off the lock and gone through the locker      ( for inventory purposes )  .                                                                                                                When We were moving out , I sold  My Myers snow plow to a friend , and the very well hidden electric plow motor/pump  was not in the locker .

I know I wont keep a shirt if I accidentally spilled food that has been baking inside a fridge inside a lkr for the past 9 months.

Also think of something comfortable, remember most units are not climate controlled, so if it is hot outside, it will be hotter in side the lkr.

Thats when You stop at your local Grangers and pick up one of these babies .
Strip down and go to town
