Craigslist / Re: Are CL buyers really nuts or what?

"All hail tax season!"

Ooh yeah!

I detail cars and turning people away! They just can't understand that I don't want to work 12hrs then go do their car or spend my one free day a week working....
Want your car done? Make an appointment, this is what I have open. Done.

There are 15 within 30min of my place this week.
Called the four that are early morn and all have 5 or more units. Trying to switch schedule so I can work the night shift and make them.

Guessing right know is the end of the time period where everyone was broke at the end of last year and didn't pay??

PM'd ya.....

Ecigs are hard. Lots of companies have jumped in. People building their own. Chinese knock off parts.
What you see sell for $100 at a smoke shop is $20 thru a small independent online smoke shop. Vice versa, I've search for items online and they are cheaper at the smoke shop cause they make them right there.....

Email me pics and what not and I'll do my best to direct you towards an outlet if I can't move them.

The part about timing lights....
Similar situation. I had some cheap, still in the box car stereo's I couldn't sell. My friend threw away the box, cut the wires and sold all that day for more than I wanted.  For some reason people think inexpensive new, must be something wrong with it.....

Flea Markets / What a dishonest move!

I had a nice lamp from my grandma's house. Thought it would look nice in my place. Didn't.
It's been in the trunk of my car forever. It's not "nice", not old, nothing. Just a lamp.

So I'm putting veggies from market in car, guy see's it, we talk. He just likes it. Doesn't offer anything, I just give it to him. I even ask him if he's going to sell it. "oh! No,no,no. My wife would love this!"

Y'all see where this is going, huh?!

Wasn't even 15min and I saw a lady putting it in her car. I figured it was the wife.
Asked her if she liked the lamp and she said "oh yeah, and it was only $20"

So much for trying to be nice. Tried to find the guy but no luck. Just going to have to let Karma handle it...
What's sad is I woulda let him have it even if he said he thought he could sell it.
I don't care. Not my thing. I hope you make some money where I can't.

On a good note....
Picked up some nice silver rings with no stones from an artist. Girl I use to work with is going to mount some CZ's I have in them and sell them on consignment. Not going to make much but also don't have to do a thing. From what she thinks she can sell for she only has to sell two to cover cost so.....

Sunday should still be an ok day to sell.  Most places close by around 4 and kick-off isn't till 6:30.

West Coast.....everyone is drunk by 11am for pregame. Game is 3:30.
Not expecting much.

I'm gonna try and pick Sunday. Hope the game keeps people home and sellers more willing to deal.....

And no don't bother trying to low ball me. Do your homework before doing such a foolish thing and understand the good deal your already getting.

Made some calls. Perked some interest. But all asked what I asked you.

Need to know brand and spec's. Are they preloads or empty? Resistance type? Size/what do they fit....
So many variables on what they are worth.

Can't do my homework if I don't know what you have. I mean, if they are preloads they are totally worthless to me. I couldn't give those away. Anyone that's a serious vapor that would by bulk wants empty ones.....

Ear piercing. It hurts.
Not like they couldn't find it and smash it but a deterant to stick around. And you would hear it if it's an outside locker or maybe one floor up.
It went off in my room on the third floor of a hotel and the front desk heard it.

Like I said. Not going to stop anyone but enough so most thieves would walk away.

I have a $20 alarm for traveling. Has Motion detector/pull string/mercury switch for however you want to mount it. It has a remote so you can close door and set.

Might be a good thing to toss in a locker.....

Are they standard, like 510's? Or for the "blue" or like?
And if standard... Do you know the spec's? High/low resistance?

I'll ask around but doubt I could do the whole lot. IF I can do something are you willing to split the lot?

In any event, tonight I'll get the addy to a forum (at work and don't know it from memory) that you should be able to move them and pass it along to you....

[update] shoulda asked. By "3k" do you mean each or 3k boxes of five?

New to Storage Auctions? / Re: Where To Sell
« on: February 02, 2012, 05:55:43 PM »
I will hit the pawn shop for fast cash on items that aren't moving fast enough for me. But they totally rip you off. Rule of thumb around here is they sell for 1/3 of retail and pay 1/3 of what they sell for. So $100 item retail, they sell for $33 so they give you $11.
Same item on CL or eBay will go for $30,$40...$80?

I had a $500 Snap-On socket set, brand new, latest model.  Their final offer was $70.
I sold it by just walking into a auto shop for $300.

With Todd.  Pawn shop is at the bottom of the list.

Yeah. Just another example of why not to have people come to your residence!
Public place only for this guy....

I personally like the Home Depot parking lot. Close to freeway, big *ss orange sign,  so people can find. Always busy even late at night. And there is a hot dog cart. :)

Tho for small, expensive items I usually tell them to meet me at such-an-such address that just happens to be a police station.
