That's a really good rate. The best I've found is up around 2.8% with no monthly fee.

With that rate what would be the advantage versus just using square or the new PayPay service which charge , I believe %2.75 and %2.7

Amazon has nothing you would like to buy?  Do you realize you can get everything from books to groceries to hardware to gun accessories on Amazon? heh

If nothing else troll Amazon for specials and see what you might be able to buy and flip locally.

The biggest one here in DFW charges for parking, so I guess that's essentially a "per carload" charge.

Saturday night I was with some buddies playing poker.  Nothing surprising there.  One was asking questions about a new business he was thinking about starting, and that led to talking about how I am considering getting back into the storage auction and resale game, at least part time.

They had questions about how things work and I gave them the 10,000 foot overview.  The inevitable question came up about the storage facilities making money off the auctions and I told them about how in a lien auction they only get what they're owed and in theory have to give anything over that to the owner.

The next thing asked was :
"Well then... couldn't you just rent a cheap locker, put a lot of boxes in with labels indicating expensive items, or empty boxes from expensive items and decoys, then let the unit expire and see if someone paid more than was left on rent to make a buck?"

Sometimes I worry about the people I hang out with...

As much as Dave was a world class douchenozzle, he also added conflict to the show which made it more entertaining.   

Just watching them buy lockers, overvalue the contents, and when all else fails find a magical Maguffin in the back to make it look profitable is only entertaining to a point.  And Barry can only be relied on for comic relief about one out of every 2 or 3 shows.

This  brings up an interesting ethical and potentially legal question.

Say you buy a locker, clean the content out and when you're back at your sorting location you find evidence of a crime. 

Do you turn the contents of the whole locker over to the police?  Just what you think is suspicious/illegal?

For instance a hypothetical in my head.  You see a locker with some boxes and a nice desk.  YOU bid on it figuring to flip the desk quick.  Once you buy you find documents in the boxes and desk indicating someone was running and illegal sports book and this was their "office".  You also find a lockbox with, let's say, a moderate amount of cash in it and a handgun in the desk.

How do you handle it?  Do you notify the cops at all?
