im always early, 30-45 minutes or so. for that exact reason, get the good spot with a quick exit to the gate, ESPECIALLY if its a caravan. If its a single facility auction i dont worry so much about it. Mainly because its very rare that i dont get a unit and i'll be picking through stuff right away after I pay.

ALLL done processing finally. Looks like we'll do real well on this even though i think 75% was trash. Found a gold ring, an old elgin watch and the stamps, the rest is mainly garage sale items. New auction thursday. I'm only targetting small high $ units this time. warehouse is too full.

i would think theyd be hot now. all the 40 year old women rememebr them from their childhood. kinda like me and my gi joes and transforrmers. But by the prices it doesnt seem like they are too collectible.

The Treasure Chest / my storage auction finds this week 6/6

Well, i really went at it today. There was an auction about an hour away with 5 units out in the boonies and everyone and their mother showed up. Problem is, no one brought any money. i picked up 3 units for $171 total. I just took the van out there because I didnt think i was actually gonna buy more than half the units so i'll go back tomorrow for most of the stuff. So far though I found 4 antique oil lamps. A book of old collectible stamps i need to check out. paint ball equipment, a couple bicycles, some baseball cards that look promising and random other stuff and i havent even broken through the surface yet. It was a great day. I'll update this post throughout the week.

well, i personally HATE reserve auctions so i wouldnt run one myself. I'll give it a shot soon, might before i go on vacation but more likely afterwards. If it works out well i could use you once or twice a week. Volume is starting to ramp up over here

i might try that. my biggest worry is that there are no viewers in this  area lol

Ive found it a lot harder to find a good deal with the online storage auctions. now dont get me wrong ive only bought one and it was a winner so im not complaining. But i had to spend $400 whereas when i go to a live auction there are quite a few that go for less than $100. I think my worry is, online the bar has been brought up on the lower end(for instnace something that would hvve gone for $20 live is selling for close to $100 online).
