So I cant sell it if it's "slightly used?"

Sure you can, as long as it's not being used at the moment! :)

I suggest they be told that they should actually list auctions on their webpage. Every time I click their ad, the link doesn't open up in it's own window it pulls you away from this site, and them I get greeted with, "No Auctions posted for now."

Guess they don't want anyone competing with the cheap **** from China

Ironically eBay has just the opposite excuse. They're afraid of someone coming in, dumping a boatload of counterfeit stuff, and then running off with buko bucks. To I point I can understand their position, but for one I'm in the US not overseas, and two I've been a member for 7+ years and have perfect feedback. That should count for something.

Went to a 5 unit auction the other day. Left owning ALL of them. I was the only one to show up. best 5 bucks I ever spent.

"5 bucks"!!! That's friggin' hilarious. :)

A state cannot supersede federal law. In other words, the Louisiana Legislature cannot legally pass any law prohibiting federal legal tender as a form of payment. A business can refuse to accept cash for various reasons, but that is an individual choice made by the business. I suspect that law will be overturned once it's challenged.

I've done some checking and it seems that depending on the category an item is being listed in, the limits can be tight, loose, or non-existent. The health and beauty category seems to be the tightest one, and of course that where I'm trying to list the most. :(

When I buy a lkr I start a spreadsheet for it and list the major items in the lkr. I have columns for item name, asking price and sold price. These total at the bottom along with a "cost" cell and when putting in appropriate forumuli it's easy to see when the lkr is paid off and what percent of return has been achieved.

Each sheet in the overall spreadsheet ties to an annual sheet and I can see how each month has done, yearly total and totals for each of the last 8 years. That way I can see the trend in overcall expenses and income as well. As an example, 2006 was my best year and I can see that this year is down from last year (to date).

Just get the Quicken program, it's super for tracking just what you're describing with a lot less work.

This little obstacle is really getting annoying. I keep posting stuff for sale and some of it gets stopped with a notice that I have to reduce the quantity and wait 30 days before listing anymore for sale.

I've been an eBay member for close to 7 years with 100% positive feedback, both buying and selling.

New to Storage Auctions? / Re: Disicions disicions

Which one would you go to ?????

All of them that I could reach on time. The best unit could be in the most obscure place, or the most obvious. You have to be there in order to see it for yourself.

Is there anyway to find out the buyer besides getting it from the storage facility?

Not really, because no one wants to put the buyer in the position of having the former unit owner show up on his doorstep. Imagine if you were an unstable individual and showed up with gun in hand. Try to imagine that liability.

You have to remember that the buyer didn't do anything wrong. There was a legal auction, as far as he was concerned, and he was the high bidder. Of course there's nothing stopping the auction house from contacting him and asking if he will return the personal items you're seeking. But that's their call.

Ad #17711737 not found!

Maybe he couldn't pay for that either. ::)

I don't care as much about the material items I just want my memories. My kids pics, my wedding pics.

Did you contact the storage facility to see if the buyer returned your personal items to them? Here in MA, like many other states, it's required by law, but even if it wasn't required by law I would still do it. Call them and ask.
