New to Storage Auctions? / Re: Won my first auction, looking for advice
« on: December 20, 2014, 04:05:53 PM »
I have to disagree with the statement "clothing unless name brand or new is crap". If you are purchasing multiple units save all kids clothes and jeans unless ripped or stained kid clothing sells well especially when put into lots of matching size. Jeans if you have a large group im talking a couple of hundred "which happens quickly if your buying units" can be sold in bulk on craigslist someone will quickly give you $1 each sold in bulk. You will find many items you are throwing away can be sold you just have to find how and where. An example would be broken watches that have gears can be sold for parts I get .50 cents each from jewelry makers, doesn't sound like much but in a year i end up with close to a buckets worth. $$$$$$$ its all about the turnover....

The Treasure Chest / Found some great WW2 Medals & Pins
« on: February 03, 2014, 01:14:50 PM »
Purchased a 10x15 last month for $300. The unit was filled with mostly junk but i could tell it was stuff from an older persons home so i grabbed it. Im glad i did in a drawer was a bag filled with medals from WW2 two of them are solid gold others are sterling. The soldier was a Major in the Marines and the one medal is very rare and weighs in at an 31 grams of solid 14k gold. I sold it on ebay for $1200.

General Storage Auction Talk / Cremated remains what do you do?
« on: February 06, 2013, 08:26:28 PM »
I have found relatives and pet cremated remains on multiple occasions and will return them if possible. The other month however I found cremated remains with no id on them but they had medals all over the urn from military service and im not sure what unit they came from. The box was burried in the back and could be from 20+ units. What would you do with them?????

The interaction between you and your cousin is hilarious. In the episode where you guys are playing rockem sockem robots. whose idea was it for your cousin to wear boxing shorts, his or the producer? For that matter does the producer direct the show any way? I would have to assume yes due to the high cost of filming.

New to Storage Auctions? / Re: Bought my first unit today
« on: December 29, 2012, 07:33:06 AM »
Glad you had a nice score on your first unit, you should do quite well on it. Don't expect every unit to be a winner. I would avoid the internet and flea markets for selling tobacco products, especially the internet. Selling to a tobacco store could be an option.
