Reality Shows about Storage Auctions / Re: Auction Hunters is FAKE!!!

They probably use the show's money to buy up hundreds and hundreds of units while filming it all, and only a few of those hundreds make the cut.

Stories about Storage Auctions / Re: Sunday Auction that sucked

I like the $25 looking fee that goes towards your purchase if you buy.... but maybe it should be something like $5 per unit that is going to be auctioned off per person. It would suck to pay $25 to see one unit, but $25 to see 5 is fair... it would definitely cut down the number of people

I know that collector's of old figurines are all looking for the "occupied japan" stamp, I've never heard of anyone having german figurines but I'm sure they are rare and possibly valuable.

When I got started I bought an old pickup truck on craigslist for $700. If you look you will find a deal like that eventually. It is a 1982 ford f150, and when I got it the brakes were completely rusted and ruined, and it needed a new carborator. I took it to a local guy and for $600 he had it running like new. So now my only cost is $69/month on insurance and I have a perfectly good way to haul stuff. You may not be able to find one for $700 but $1200-$1500 you could probably find an old truck for that.

Stories about Storage Auctions / First Auction Today
« on: January 25, 2011, 10:16:09 PM »
There were 2 units at a local auction today near Atlanta, GA. The first unit had nothing but papers and files in it and they weren't able to sell it since it was nothing but personal information. They popped the lock on the second unit, and there was nothing but a Christmas Tree and a box of ornaments. Some guy got it for 5 bucks and that was that. Hopefully my next auction story will be a little more exciting than this one!

New to Storage Auctions? / learned a valuable lesson today.....

.....CALL AHEAD!
I went to an auction today that the paper listed as having 13 units, didn't bother to call, and when I got there they told me that all the owners had paid their bills in time and the auction was cancelled. Luckily I had the storage auctions weekly email saved in my phone, I pulled up another auction about to start within a few miles, and I made it to that one.

I saw the episode but I don't get the last stand part>>>
I'm so sick of Dave always winning, and Jarrod can't even win one unit because everyone bidding him up.

Storage wars tonight 10:30 A&E.... Titles "collector's last stand", maybe Dave Hester will quit the show? He is a huge jerk and last episode he did storm off mad early without buying anything. Who is watching???

A&E.com has full episodes posted the day after they air, and they have every episode so far on there. Spoiler alert: Barry finds something weird and Jarrod finds something valuable! Great episode, man Dave is a jerk!
