Stories about Storage Auctions / Re: Today

Is this common? Thoughts on what may be going on?

Common? Not that common.

Going on?  Skullduggery, shennanigans, and crookedness; especially considering it's a chain. Go on the internet
and find an email or phone number for a national rep; let them know what happened and see if they respond to you.

I liked the "uh, uh, " funny !

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Best Unit

Paid $2,900 for a 3 bedroom house full of furn, tv, computers, garage full, etc. Items were still in the house.

Profit was appx $2,900 so followed a well-worn rule of "double your money".  My other big purchase was a pod for $2,500 and the net on that was $1,800, so not quite double the money.

Rogue is actually my alter ego just to set me up for questions so I can link to my site lol only kidding.

I believe you rfr; I don't think you would do that.

The "alter ego" concept you refer to is known as a "sock puppet" in internet lingo and net etiquette.

I added the sock puppet to definitions of troll and flaming in this thread:

Rogue, if your wondering whts going on a number of the regular posters on here have their own sites, ebooks, storage auction schools, etc and everyone plugs their stuff but gets on others for doing it worse than they do. I'll admit I'm guilty of it nad one of the bad ones. ANyhow, if you click the globe next to my name on the left side of this thread you can see where I get my auctions.

Figured I'd post that otherwise rogue would probably wonder what are these guys talking about lol.

Works for me. You answered it nicely. Also, for Rogue's benefit, I'M not one of the ones who pushes lists on this forum.

@rulesforrebels Yes it was the one on Highland..... I see your local where do you find local Chicagoland auctions?

It will be interesting to see how rfr answers THIS question !  ;)

This one was a CLUSTERFU*K!  I will never go back there.....total BS auction.  And they promote it all over craigslist and everywhere else they can.

Good to know, especially since they seem to have one coming up in about 8 days !

Remember that urn you found in the locker you just bought?

I've gotten 3 in seven years; all brass about 10 x 6 x 6.
