Looks like the producers wanted to turn on the whore factor and asked Candi to come up with some sexual innuendo one liners.

Good thing this program airs on A & E and not the National Geographic channel, cause based on several of the camera angles from the episodes so far, we would have had many a wild beaver sightings!  :-\

Love how those ladies dig through those garbage bags without wearing gloves, real pros!  :-[

Reality Shows about Storage Auctions / Re: Storage Wars shooting update
« on: January 14, 2013, 09:37:38 AM »
I ran into the Storage Wars crew Jan 11. They were at that same facility in Montebello California, where I saw them last year. About half the lockers had already been sold when I arrived.

No Dave Hester, but they brought Mark Balelo back. Tweedle-dee-dee, tweedle-dee-dum. Barry was hanging out with a Chinese guy, who was dressed in red with a matching cowboy hat and very long (approx 20 inches) pointy shoes flecked with small mirrors. Five of the lockers were from some furniture store that had closed. Barry bought the one with paintings and mirrors. Brandi and Jarrod got the other four. I bid to $3500 on one of them, but didn't get it.

The last locker they shot probably won't appear on the show, because I bought it. There was good quality used furniture visible, what appeared to be auditorium speakers and quite a stack of white file folder boxes. When Dan started the bidding, I rolled a pair of 10 inch white cardboard dice on the pavement.  Box cars came up, so I shouted, "You have $1200". Dan asked, "Is that your bid?" I replied, "Yes, thats my bid". Dan tried for $1300, then $1250 and finally $1225. No one else bid.

Man, You did'nt get run up by Mark Balelo? That guy drops some serious cash! Or is that just for the TV cameras??

If I could put a worst case scenario, as is value on that block, I would be bidding on it. I would bet that with all the good stuff you can see, there is a lot more good stuff that you can't see. The owner of this unit had plenty of discretionary income...there's money everywhere I look.

However, I'm perplexed by the anomaly in the unit. This guy has an engine, tools, black leather sofas, construction equipment, auto parts and everything else a manly man would own, but in the back of the unit there is an unopened gift set from Bath & Body Works.

You know Travis, sometimes guys will acually live with women and even marry them!  ;)

Never get done in one day in my area! The most i've seen done in one day around here is 90. They started at 9am & ended at 5pm, only two locations so we only had to pick up and travel once. At the second location they started opening up 5 units at a time to bid on to get through it.

They are in GEORGIA! I have bid on some, but alas they tend to go to high for my taste.

Did I here right in the last episode that the girls were bringing the most money they have had to the auction that day, and it was $1500? ($750 a piece) and they were gonna really compete with the big boys??!!!   :-[ :-[

Can they just please fly in that Mark character from LA who carries the purse with wads of cash, his character would be much more fitting for Storage Wars New York.

They should have cast Courtney and Candy for Storage Wars Des Moines, Iowa!!  :P  :D :D :D

By the way, that little one-eyed dog does nothing to add flavor or character or a story line to the two guys from Jersey. Just leave that little rat home! He's neither cute, nor charasmatic, nor interesting. It's Storage Wars New York, they should be carrying a 15 foot python around their neck or Pit Bulls on chains or something!

And packed up golf balls into egg cartons. (Got two 5gal buckets free at estate sales). Sell those for $3/doz.

WOW!! That is old school!! When I was a teenager, I use to roam around in the woods by the golf course collecting lost balls, sometimes get my snorkeling mask and cruise the lakes too. I would take them to the flea market and sell them. Looks like the price of used golf balls hasn't risen much in 20 years!

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: The stoned Pig

Never considered all the money I have saved in doggie chew toys by just giving the dog random stuffed animals to play with out of the units. Another fringe benefit of storage auctions!  :)

So let me get this straight. Candy & Courtney's entire storage/warehouse & store is the back of that Chevy Astro Van? They can't buy anything that won't fit in their van. They just cruise up to some side street in New York and open up the doors of their van and start hanging clothes on other peoples fences & privacy walls and thats their store??

They are suppose to be serious storage unit auction buyers? These are the best buyers the producers could find in the entire New York Metro area??   :-[

Yea, as long as you sell them cheap enough for someone to take to the recycle center and make money! LOL!  :D

Can't tell you how much sh$t I get from pickers who just want to melt them down! As soon as they say "Oh, thats to expensive!" I say, "look buddy, I know how to get to the metal recycling center too!"  :P

They act like it's suppose to be some big secret that you can turn in metals for scrap and get paid!!  ::)

They make those ugly things not to far from me, but I can only think of about 2 I have found in units and they were both ragged/moldy so right to garbage.
