Is he still active on the forum?

He is as active as the 3,400 I noted above.

Who?

If you had tracked people for all the time we both have been on the forum, you would know. But it shows no advantage to me to reveal that information. On this forum though I will say he is a non-entity in terms of participation....like about 3400 of the members.

Craigslist / Re: You know what I hate most about Craigslist?
« on: July 25, 2013, 03:47:52 PM »
You guys must not put much value on your time because almost everyone on cl shows up later than they say. I coudl pack up 50 ebay orders in the time I sit for 30 minutes waiting for a buyer to show up or maybe never shows up at all.

You are comparing apples and oranges in several of your posts in this thread.  Sure, once you have a product that sells well on eBay (as you appear to have) it does not reasonably compare to selling a single item on eBay or on cList.

It seems you have finally found a niche after your early explorations into selling copper bars and Vietnamese Dong on eBay several years ago.

Ebay really isn't that hard of work. I sell 300 plus items a month on ebay on average. During busy times I can sometimes do over 30 packages a day, never takes me more than an hour.

It's obvious you are selling some small item you can pop in an envelope (sex pills, energy pills, etc) and of course anyone who is doing that can process a lot in a short period of time.

Try packing an 80 pound tool with an awkward shape. Let me know when you can do 30 of those a day.

Stories about Storage Auctions / Re: Auction Scene #7...July, 2013
« on: July 25, 2013, 02:43:36 PM »
Missed a few good auctions the last two weeks while I was on vacation out of state, but went to a piece-by-piece today.

Unfortunately, it was a bust. Twelve locker, 12 losers. I didn't place a single bid on any item. Only took about 2 hours to go through the 12 lockers.  On a GOOD day (and a good locker) it can take 2 hours to go through ONE locker.

Oh, well. More auctions always around the corner, and picking is out there too.

This member was a consistent contributor, but like a couple of his female counterparts, he seems to have vanished.

Did we hear any last words from him?

And it took a 20 million dollar investment to find them, but it paid off big time.

Media still at it...you would think these kind of stories would have run their course, but I guess not.

Which one?

Here's a clue:

The one in red is a member here.

The other one used to be on tv.

The Lounge / Baby born in London

My guess is most Americans could care less about the new future king of Britain being born yesterday.

Sure, some women here are going ga-ga....that must be a woman thing, but by in large it's not of that much interest to most Americans (IMO) despite TV news coverage. Even the network's stories have a bit of "...you're kidding right?" aspect about them.

Anyway, I thought this cover of a British tabloid was somewhat telling.

My favorite auctions these days are Storage Auctions Online.  I have seen units go as low as 30 dollars per unit all the way up to 3,000 dollars.  They even have pictures of the contents of the unit.  Just a new tip I found out recently.

LOL.....

And that storage battles link in your sig line is just a coincidence as proven in your subsequent posts around July 22, 2013.

Will be interesting to see how Travis handles this.  ;D

Flea Markets / Re: Colorado flea markets, summer, 2013

Here's a link to another post about my March, 2012 thread about the Mile High Flea Market in Denver.

The fellow who sold there (see reply #12 in the thread below) was majblade. I just looked at his profile and he only had 9 posts a year ago so doubt he is still tuned in here.

Flea Markets / Re: Colorado flea markets, summer, 2013
« on: July 21, 2013, 08:43:29 PM »
Back in California after a 12 day trip to New Mexico and Colorado. In Denver I went to the flea in Henderson which is north of Denver.

I came here last year (I think it was) and I'll look up the link to that thread.

This year much the same. This is a big flea with many permanent buildings holding permanent sellers and then two areas of what I will call "day sellers".  The first area only holds about 20 or so vendors and last year I thought "This is it?" but then I walked on around some permanent stalls and found over 100 other vendors nicely lined out over a large paved lot.

I saw a few things I would have bought had I driven, but too big to load on a plane.  If you are in the area, go to this flea for the experience if you are a flea market seller. Seems like there are a few on this forum, but these days more seem to want to open stores !

If you are reading this in July, 2013 and have experience with this market, please respond. Last year (in the old thead) there was one contributor here (can't remember who at the moment) who said I should have given him notice that I was coming....didn't think to look him up....maybe it was boxlot.  The old thread will tell us.

Meanwhile, any Colorado people who are willing to speak up ?

Sorry, no pics.

Edit: Here is the link to the March, 2012 posts in which genie144 first told me about the Denver flea.
