General Storage Auction Talk / Re: There are is couple that buys units
« on: November 03, 2011, 08:28:33 PM »
I think I remembering hearing SW cast gets either 5K or 10k.

Dont quote me on that, it is just something I think I remember :)

Could have summed this up in one of 2 ways without the lwd.

1. I lost interest in doing this and move on to greenies pastures.

Or

2. I sold out and decided to tried to get rich quick off of SW and AH.

I really think your #2 masquerading around as #1, but whateve!

I seriously doubt GC is masquerading. He had his you tube and some of his first books on the market before either of those shows aired.

With paintings, it is best to bring it to someone who has a vast knowledge of paintings. That will be the best bet, you ay strike out, then again, you may have struck gold.

New to Storage Auctions? / Re: City Slicker or Country Bumpkin?
« on: November 03, 2011, 08:17:06 PM »
I just got back from a Auction in Tomball Tx. I thought there wouldn't be anyone there. It was out there and there were 4 units. By the time the auction started there were around 60 people. The crowd seemed to grow as the last couple units were shown. Units went for way to much.

You will see that no matter where you go. Really need to get to those auctions that are not highly advertised. The less advertisement, the better your chances of hardly anybody being there. Also it helps if there is several different auctions going on at the same time that are fairly far apart in distance. If you choose the right one, there will be less people there.

Actually it is not a salvaged title, its a bonded title. And what you will end up paying to get the title registered is 10% of the value of the vehicle, (you will have to take it to 3 different dealers, the tax office will always use the higher price, which is BS. Plus you will need to go get the title itself bonded which is usually only like $100. Depends on the value though. But most used cars will be $100 for the bond. After that you will have a bonded title for 3 years. Then you can get a free and clear title. Its a true pain in the ass to have to keep doing it over and over again. Just did this with a 99 Blazer.
A little note as well, after you get the bonded title you should be able to sell it with out a problem if you wish to do so, since the bonded title is transferable.

Me and my hubby attended our first auction Oct 26th. It was super fun. I bought 3 units and I actually did make my money back. I didn't profit, but was very happy for the learning experience. I am interested in finding a list of Auctions around Houston area. I hear I need to go to the court house and find a Daily Court Review. Any suggestions would be appreciated:)

Go check out TCLane's website, that will give you a jump start around the Houston area.

Wow...I am honored. The BIG man wants me to kiss his ass. Ain't that sweet.
I still don't know that this is the real Glendon Cameron but judging by the general inability to form a proper sentence or spell, for that matter, it clearly matches up to his website. Do you think if I bought one of your books you could invest in a dictionary or at least a spellchecker? Oh, I'm sorry, that must be "soft racism".
I have to say, threatening people on these boards who are, for the most part, anonymous, when you are not, isn't very bright. I also find it intriguing how much time you have to spend on these boards.
Anyway, I don't much care what you say because at the end of the day, I still get to be me while you are stuck being you.

Um I like to mention, that is GC speaking, go to his website, follow the link to his FaceBook, somewhere in his friends list you will see me. Me and GC have talked about the on going talk that is going on on this thread. Not much, but enough to verify that it is really him.

Seems to me that the OP gave up.

Honestly I think yall really need to lay off of Glendon, granted I didnt much like the idea of the threats of suing people. But I can see it from his side on that as well. Seems to me that some people are just mad because they didnt do what he did before he did it. Honestly speaking he jumped ship from doing auctions just in time, with the tv shows being a hit, people googling on how to cash in on it, and the hoardes of noobies trying to go out and make a dime into $20. GC has a good marketing strategy of enticing his customers just enough to want more. And I believe that is just about what anybody would do. I know I would, but I cant write for ****, lol.

anyone who has watched my videos knows I will tell you exactly what I think of you.  I think I am going to like this place!

lol, I feel a video coming on :)

As I agree, even though I am not currently active out there right now, I still share my opinions, thoughts and experiences with people on this forum as well as another forum. Also help out a few people in my local area.

But I still constantly try to learn something new, a different way of doing things. Which is why I subscribe here, in another forum, several people on youtube, including Glendon here, Redneck Picker, as well as to there websites.

We can never learn enough, we learn everyday, and no one knows all the answers. And what will work for one person, may or may not work for another.

Hey I am not for everyone, I totally get that, to each his own. Honestly I think a lot of people who are getting in the storage auction game, are totally not cut out for the rigors of the biz. This is what pisses me off is there is this - NO DEROGATORY POLICY- yet things in that light were allowed to be posted about me, so  I figured I can say what I want and it should be all good!   Drew is here in Atlanta, very easy to go to file my suit at the Fulton County courthouse if he deletes my posts, I even sent him a message stating exactly what would happen if my posts were deleted, freedom of speech works both ways, playa!. Understand I want this thread to be left alone, leave all posts as they are.....certain  people wanted me to chime in, so here I am.....

Hey Glendon, about time you came in, but now I know why you didnt, read all your post on here. As far as Drew deleting, I very serious doubt he would do that. I personally only seen post deleted by either the OP or by Drew IF they were SPAM. And your post are in no way, IMO spam.

And I stick to what I say, to me yes alot of it is common sense, but as I told you on FB, Youtube, and I think I mentioned it on your blog, not 100% sure on that. I do recommend your book to noobies to this business or any other business that deals with resells, or for any sales for that matter. CHeers
