General Storage Auction Talk / Time to start selling again.
« on: September 14, 2015, 05:09:01 PM »
Been busy for some time, repairing an old house.  Now it is time to start selling again and make some money.  Auction houses around here want 40%, so I will just have to sell it in the yard.

I use to save the personal stuff and return it to the facility, but now I just chuck it.  If you try to find the prior owners you could be getting in a lot of trouble.

I don't trust them at all.

That will be the.  Wwoorrkk...

They were from the 1920's.   Throwing them out  does not seems like a way to make money...

The drawings (if they have an architectural element to them) could be framed and resold.

Wonderful idea.....    I want to make money on them not give them back to who ever...

We bought 4 units last week and in the worst unit we found some papers from a Patent Attorney in Ohio.  There was about 10 packets, each having patent request from companies and individual.  drawings and letters about requesting for the attorney to get them a patent.  One was for a head light, another for a water cooler and another for a flour shifter.   What can I do with them?

Online Storage Auctions / Online Auctions not for me.

I been watching some of the auctions that "Storage Battles" auction site has on it.  To tell you the truth I think that I will stay away from online auctions. The pictures really are crappy. You can't smell what it's like and other people can run up your bid and never intend to pay.  So what happens when you pay for the unit, open it up and find out its crap, but if you seen it in a live auction you would have walked away.

I have a big issue with buying anything that smells like baby or cat piss.  Sorry but it's not one of my things...

being able to physical see what your bidding on...

Waiting around then find out that you wasted a day for nothing.
